- The sea's energy: one number for size and period, the waves' energy in kJ (1.96 × height² × period²), in seven levels from FLAT to BIG. Hour by hour on the forecast's lower bezel, and next to the period on Today. 1 m of 4 s chop is about 30 kJ; 1 m of 12 s swell, about 280. - The bars carry Today's traffic light: each hour, the worse of the swell and the wind at your beach. The swell's arrow sits above its bar. - DOWN on the forecast opens Today; UP or a tap still open the spot picker. - Today, hour by hour: it opens on the current hour and UP / DOWN walk the day (a tap on the bezel jumps to an hour). For each hour: the spot's rose (swell and wind coming in), the waves from the average wave to the sets (0.4–0.6 m), the period, the energy and the wind. - From the forecast, Today shows the spot you were looking at, with its place among the nearby spots ("5 OF 12 SPOTS").
