A mother-of-pearl dress watch set against a night sky: a large nacre dial in the middle, stars above it and a folded pearl ground below. The time is told by two fine hands and slim batons, and both hands step once a minute. A thin seconds hand sweeps over the dial and can be turned off. Above the centre, the weekday and date are set in small capitals on the pearl. Below the centre is a single number with a small label above it naming what it is. It shows your pulse by default, or temperature, battery, body battery, distance, floors, stress or active minutes, or nothing at all. Under the dial, calories and steps follow the curve of the dial on either side of a small four-pointed star, reading "kcal" and "steps" toward the star. Larger numbers grow outward, so the pair stays balanced. The battery percentage sits beneath the star. The dial is built like a piece of jewellery. The nacre shifts between ivory, pink, champagne and faint blue, with fine radial lines through it, and sits in a thin metal edge. Two fans of fine ribs open on either side of the dial and run out to the rim. The ground below is folded into soft pleats like a paper fan. There are four colour settings, each the same watch in another metal and sky: Sapphire, with a navy sky and champagne gold; Onyx, with a black sky and platinum; Emerald, with a deep green sky and yellow gold; and Rose, with a cocoa sky and rose gold. Always-on shows a dimmed version of the dial with the hour and minute hands. It is held within the display brightness limit, so it stays lit instead of blanking after a few seconds.
