RacePace is a free data field for runners chasing a goal time. Set your race distance and target finish time, and see live, on one screen, whether you're ahead of or behind goal pace and what time you're on track to finish. Built for 5K, 10K, half marathon, marathon or any custom distance. Whether you're going for a sub-4 marathon, a sub-2 half, a Boston qualifier or a new PB, RacePace does the pace maths so you don't have to mid-race. WHAT IT SHOWS • Current Pace: your real-time pace, smoothed to reduce GPS jumps • Average Pace: your average across the whole run so far • Km/Mi Split Pace: live pace for the km or mile you're currently in • Target Pace: the pace per km or mile you need to hit your goal • Ahead/Behind: how far ahead of or behind target pace you are, live (green = ahead, red = behind) • Finish +/-: how far ahead of or behind your goal time you're projected to finish • Projected Finish: your estimated finish time at your current effort • Heart rate + zone: your current heart rate with the relevant zone colour Turn any field (except Current Pace) on or off, and the rest resize to fill the screen. PACE ALERTS (OPTIONAL) Turn on Pace Alerts and RacePace vibrates when you've been behind goal pace for 15, 30 or 60 seconds, and again when you're back on pace. Alerts repeat every 60 seconds while you're behind and stop after 5 minutes, so they nudge rather than nag. EASY SETUP, NO PHONE NEEDED Set race distance (5K, 10K, Half Marathon, Marathon or custom), goal finish time and units (km or miles) right on your watch. Display options, pace smoothing (50 m / 100 m / 200 m), background colour and pace alerts can be set from Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express. HOW TO ADD IT RacePace is a data field, not a watch face or app. Add it to a data screen on your Run activity: start a Run, hold MENU on a data screen, choose Edit Layout, pick the 1-field layout, then select RacePace from Connect IQ Fields.
