Walk Together. Keep an eye on each other's heart. Garmin's built-in Walk app is excellent. It's packed with features we wouldn't dream of replicating. And that's not what Walk Together is about. Walk Together covers the walking essentials, with one meaningful difference: connection. With Walk Together, you see your partner's heart rate, steps, calories and location live, right on your wrist, as you walk together. You can be close by or far apart. MULTIPLE WAYS TO WALK - Partner Walk: your partner's heart rate over ANT+ watch to watch in real time (about 10m). Heart rate, calories, steps and direction are also shared over the internet at any distance (~every 5s). - Group Walk: everyone's direction and heart rate. The whole group sets the same Group Name and Group Key. - Partner Walk and Group Walk at the same time. - Solo Walk: heart rate, zones, distance, pace, steps, laps and alerts. ALSO - Receive HR alerts for yourself and your partner. Configure reminders for distance, calories, hydration and when to go home. - Laps, and a summary at the end. A saved walk goes to Garmin Connect as an activity. - Arrows on a compass to your partner and each group member, with the distance. Each watch chooses how far away it may be seen. Direction sharing uses your watch's GPS and needs a clear view of the sky, like any Garmin app that uses GPS. When you are within about 10m, distance and direction are only approximate. Internet sharing needs your phone with Garmin Connect nearby. Walk Together is free. The internet sharing runs on relays that cost $ to keep running If the app makes your days better, buy me a coffee at https://ko-fi.com/ambiguouslabs For touch-screen Garmin watches.
