A small companion, seen from behind, looks at a painted landscape that follows your real day. The companions • 9 companions: cat, fox, frog, capybara, sloth, young woman, man, coffee and tea. • Animals hold a cup or not: setting "Cup in paw". The landscape • 8 painted scenes: lake, forest, sea, fireplace, mountain, rainy window, snowy cabin and waterfall. • Each scene has full day, golden dawn and evening, and night, following the real sunrise and sunset where you are. • Rain and snow scenes follow the real weather (setting "Rain and snow"). • Scene: your choice, or a new one each day. A phrase for the moment • A short, kind phrase under the time. Choose a theme: A bit of everything (default), Self-confidence, Motivation, Calm & rest, Self-compassion, Hard moments or A little lightness. • "A bit of everything" mixes Self-confidence, Motivation, Calm & rest and Self-compassion. "Hard moments" and "A little lightness" (gentle, silly jokes) only show when you choose them. • Rotation: a new phrase every hour (default), one per part of the day (morning, day, evening), one per day, or never. Two hours in a row never show the same phrase. • Written separately in each language by native writers, not translated: English, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Polish. • Phrase gender: Auto, Feminine, Masculine or Neutral. In French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese and Polish, phrases are worded for you. • Your own words: write a message of up to 40 characters in the Connect IQ phone app. It replaces the phrase. Up to 5 pauses a day • Pick up to 5 times. For 30 minutes, an invitation appears. • 11 invitation styles: large soap bubble, small bubble, seasonal leaf, lantern, ripples on the water, heart of steam, moonflower, will-o'-the-wisp, sprouting seed, ember and feather. • Optional "Pause when stressed": if your watch's own stress score stays above 75 or 85 for 10, 20 or 30 minutes, an invitation appears, at most once every 2 hours. The stress value is never displayed. • Touch and hold the invitation or the companion: the invitation leaves and Garmin's own Stress glance opens (its native breathing exercise starts from there). Or choose "Breathe here": a guided breath on the watch face. • The pause counts as soon as you hold. A warm trace of the day's pauses appears in the scene: small lights or stacked pebbles, up to 3. • A missed pause leaves no remark. No counter, no streak, no score. • A watch face cannot vibrate, so this one does not. For a reminder, set a native alarm on your watch. Small data, only if you want it • The battery always sits above the date. Left: steps by default. Right: nothing by default. Each side can show nothing, steps, next pause or heart rate. • Date format (7 styles, or hidden), 12/24 h time, or like your watch. Alive, but frugal • After each wrist raise (4 seconds): steam rises from the cup, fireflies drift on some night scenes, rain or snow falls on rainy and snowy scenes. Can be turned off. • Always-On mode: a line drawing of the companion and the horizon, hollow time digits. Burn-in safe. • Settings in the Connect IQ phone app, or on the watch: hold the time, then Customize. Permissions • Location: to compute sunrise and sunset, and for the weather scene. • Complications: only to open Garmin's own screens when you hold the companion or invitation (Stress), the steps, the heart rate or the battery. • User profile: only your gender, only for "Phrase gender" on Auto. Choose Feminine, Masculine or Neutral and it is no longer read. • The watch's stress score is read on the watch only if "Pause when stressed" is on. It is never displayed or kept. Everything is computed on the watch. No data ever leaves it. Want to try first? The free "Zen Cup Cat Lite" offers 4 companions, 4 scenes and one daily pause. Credits: original characters. Fix: after waking up or after a notification, the landscape could be missing for a moment, leaving the companion alone on screen.
