CromaRun combines three running views in one Connect IQ data field for compatible Garmin Forerunner watches: General, Laps and Heart Rate. Black background, large digits and meaningful colors. GENERAL Larger instantaneous pace and a separate large whole-run average pace value, heart rate zones, distance and activity timer. Remains the default fixed view. Three layouts: Focus, Balanced and Minimal. LAPS Lap number, average pace of the current lap, lap distance and timer, and the previous lap's average pace. Responds to manual and automatic lap events from Garmin's activity. Lap paces use the same gradient as General. HEART RATE Large current heart rate and zone, activity average heart rate and recorded time in each of five zones, with distribution bars and customizable colors. CHOOSE YOUR VIEW In CromaRun settings in the Connect IQ app, choose Vista de CromaRun: General, Vueltas (Laps), Pulso (Heart Rate) or automatic rotation. General is the initial choice. Rotation cycles through the three views every 5, 10, 15, 20 or 30 seconds (15 by default), using active timer duration and stopping during pauses. You can also choose the view from CromaRun's Connect IQ settings in the activity settings on the watch. The exact path varies by device. These are internal views of one data field, not three independent Garmin data screens. Activity buttons do not switch views. Duplicating the field does not create separate settings. COLORS AND OPTIONS Configure four pace points and four colors for the continuous gradient in Connect IQ settings. Enter min:sec per km, slow to fast, from 2:00 to 30:00. Defaults: 7:00 white, 5:50 blue, 4:40 green and 3:30 red. Alternative example: 8:00 / 7:00 / 6:00 / 4:45. Instantaneous, whole-run average and lap paces share the scale, with independent colors based on their values. Thresholds remain in min/km even when displaying miles. Invalid format or order shows a warning and uses default thresholds. Heart rate uses five personal zones from the watch's sport profile; default colors are white, blue, green, orange and red. Metric, imperial or watch units. In General, show or hide average pace, heart rate, distance, timer and bottom labels; swap distance and timer positions. No watts or power settings. INSTALLATION Install CromaRun and sync. In Run → Settings → Data Screens, add a single-field screen and choose Connect IQ → CromaRun. Garmin continues recording the activity. Small fields show a compact form of the selected view. RECORDING AND MISSING DATA The activity timer excludes pauses. General average pace remains visible when paused. Lap and zone statistics reset with the activity or when the field restarts; previous laps and readings are not reconstructed. Zone times only include short intervals with valid readings and may total less than the activity duration. Average heart rate comes from the watch. Missing data shows dashes. Compatible with Forerunner 70, 165/165 Music, 170/170 Music, 265/265S, 570 42/47 mm, 965 and 970. On-watch text is in Spanish. Images are simulator captures with test data and custom pace thresholds. Local processing, without Internet access or data uploads. Complements CromaFace, installed separately.
