Beskrivning
Orbit Time keeps your own time and two other cities on the watch face at once, each with its
own flag, its own date, and a dot that tells you whether it is a sensible moment to call.
WHAT IS ON THE FACE
- Today's date, then your local time in a large 24-hour readout
- A sun or moon beside the time, for whether your own hour falls inside your waking window
- Current weather icon and temperature, plus a four-point hourly temperature curve
- Two world clocks side by side: country flag, city, time, and that zone's own calendar date
- Steps against your daily goal, and battery level, each with a six-box bar you read by
counting rather than by estimating a length
OFFICE HOURS AT A GLANCE
A coloured dot sits next to each city name:
- Green, a working day and offices are open
- Amber, a working day but outside working hours
- Orange, a weekend or a public holiday in that country
Weekends follow the country, so Friday-Saturday regions are handled correctly, and public
holidays come from built-in tables covering 73 countries. Nothing is fetched: there is no
network call, no account and no subscription behind any of it.
DAYLIGHT SAVING, HANDLED
Set each zone's standard winter offset once and pick its rule, from Europe, North America,
Australia, always on, or none. The extra hour is recalculated on every draw, so a zone
switches itself on the changeover day without you opening anything. The rules were checked
against the IANA time zone database for eleven zones across 2024 to 2030.
BUILT FOR THE SCREEN
- 74 country flags drawn as bitmaps, in two resolutions so they stay sharp on MIP and AMOLED
- A palette chosen to land exactly on the 64-colour MIP palette, so nothing dithers into a
muddy tone on a fenix 6 or 7
- Always-on display supported: colours step down and the heaviest elements drop, while the
layout stays exactly where it was
- Every measurement is derived from the screen, so the same face fits a 240 px fenix 7S and a
454 px fenix 8 without clipping
ASKS FOR NOTHING
Orbit Time requests no permissions at all. No location, no activity data sent anywhere, no
internet access. Everything on the face comes from the watch you are already wearing.
SETTINGS
Open Garmin Connect, choose the watch face, then Settings. For each of the two zones set a
country code, a city name, the UTC offset in minutes, and a daylight saving rule. Under
Appearance you can pick the accent colour and the hours that count as your day.
GOOD TO KNOW
- The clock is always 24-hour and zero-padded. With several zones side by side, 03:33 and
15:33 say what 3:33 cannot, and every time is the same width so the columns line up.
- Holiday tables cover fixed-date national holidays only. Easter, Thanksgiving and lunar
holidays such as Ramadan, Eid, Diwali and Lunar New Year are not included, and the dot
stays green on those days.
- Weather and the forecast curve come from the watch. When it has no data the curve is
dropped and the rest of the face is unaffected.
- Two world clocks, not more. A cell carries a flag, a city, a time and a full date, and a
third of those does not fit beside them.
