Beskrivning

Pick your spot, start the app and surf. River Surf counts every run from your speed and records each one as a lap, so the run count is on your wrist during the session and in Garmin Connect afterwards. No button press per ride. *** Three screens during the session, switched with UP/DOWN or a swipe: 1. Main data: time of day, session timer, heart rate, calories, run count, current speed. 2. Heart rate: your current heart rate plus five zone columns that grow with the time spent in each zone. An arrow marks the zone you are in right now. 3. Focus: clock, wave icon and one short surf line that changes every 15 minutes. Nothing else on screen while you wait for your turn. When you end the session, a summary screen shows max heart rate, average heart rate, runs, time, aerobic Training Effect and the intensity minutes of that session. From there you resume, save or discard. *** How runs are detected A run starts when your speed reaches 7 km/h. It is counted when the speed drops back below that value. A cooldown of 35 seconds between counted runs keeps a short dip in speed from counting twice. The app requests the best satellite configuration your watch supports and falls back to the watch speed if the GPS stream drops mid session. While there is no usable fix, the speed field reads "GPS..." instead of a misleading 0.0 km/h. *** Spots Eisbach, E2, THE RIVERWAVE, Jochen S. Munich, Floßlände, irie surf, Hasewelle, Langenfeld, Wellenwerk and "Other". The list is sorted by last used, so your home wave moves to the top. The selected spot becomes part of the activity name, for example "River Surf Eisbach". With "Other" the app looks up the nearest town name through your phone and uses that instead. In Garmin Connect - The activity name contains the spot. - The lap count equals the run count, in the activity overview and in the lap table. - The run count is also stored as a field in the activity details. Good to know - Values are metric (km/h), app text is English. - There are no settings; the detection thresholds are fixed. - A phone connection is only needed for the "Other" spot lookup.
