A dot-matrix clock over a topographic map background, with a configurable weather or date display, six readouts, and two status rings. ON THE FACE • Dot-matrix time in 12-hour, 24-hour, or following the watch setting, with dim "unlit" dots between the lit ones • Weather or the date above and below the time, in either position, or left blank • Six bezel readouts, chosen from 31 metrics: heart rate, steps, distance, calories, floors, battery, Body Battery, stress, recovery time, sunrise/sunset, altitude, temperature, humidity, wind, precipitation chance, UV, pulse oximetry, skin temperature, barometric pressure, training status, respiration rate, and more • Two edge rings: device battery, Body Battery, stress, Sleep Score, or step goal percentage • Day and month names in 17 languages ALWAYS-ON In always-on mode the time stays on screen as lit dots on black, in your time color at reduced brightness. It shifts one pixel a minute to spread screen wear. HOLD TO OPEN Holding a readout opens the matching Garmin screen: heart rate opens Heart Rate, weather opens Weather, the date opens the calendar. SETTINGS Each section, readout, and ring has its own color, chosen from a 10-color palette, and the map's contour lines can be recolored to match. Distance, temperature, and time can follow the watch or be set by hand. The colon can blink on and off, the rings can sweep to new values, and the dim dots and AM/PM label can be turned off. Readouts and rings update on a refresh interval you choose. Animations run for about 10 seconds after a wrist raise and can be turned off. The face never turns on GPS; sunrise and sunset use the watch's last known location. No background service and no network access: every value is read locally on the watch. ABOUT I built TopoDot for myself, and it's the face I wear every day.
