The ring around the dial is a 24-hour clock with noon at the top, and it lights up wherever your panel caught sunlight today. The line under the fields adds up your full sun, and the gauge at the bottom shows how strong the light on your panel is right now. Free, with no time limit and no unlock codes. Nothing on the watch asks you to buy anything. THE RING - Every 15 minutes of light on the panel lights the ring: deep red in weak light, white in strong sun. It clears at midnight. - It keeps filling in during an activity: the face measures every 5 minutes in the background. - The sun rides the ring as a bead that warms from ember to white, its rays growing with the light on your panel. - Marks show today's sunrise and sunset. At night the moon takes the sun's place, at tonight's real phase. THE SUN - Full sun today, and the time of your next sunrise or sunset. Full sun counts measured light: an hour at half strength is 30 minutes, so it runs lower than your time outdoors. - A solar gauge for how strong the light on your panel is right now. - When your battery is full, Garmin pauses solar charging. The gauge says FULL instead of 0 and the ring marks that time, so a sunny day at 100% never looks empty. THE FACE - A big LCD-style time that stays readable in direct sun, drawn in the 64 colors a MIP screen shows. - The weather in natural colors, by day and by night: a gold sun, blue rain, a yellow lightning bolt (grays with the Silver accent). - Three data fields: battery, weather and temperature, and steps.
