The chair doesn't get the whole day. Sitless is a stand up reminder for desk work. At the times you set, your watch calls a short set of squats, counts them on your wrist, and turns the whole workday into a ring you can read at a glance: one segment for every slot you planned. Green is done. Yellow was cut short. Red came and went. Grey is still ahead. You decide what a slot is - ten squats, a walk to the kitchen, a minute at the window. The watch keeps the schedule and remembers for you; the squat counter is there when you want the numbers. Under the ring: slots done today and squats in total. WHAT YOU SET • Which days of the week, and the hours the schedule runs • The gap between slots: 15, 20, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes • Whether the first slot falls at the start hour or one gap later • A slot as a number of reps, or as seconds • Snooze length and how long a slot waits for an answer Out of the box: weekdays, 8:00 to 16:00, every 45 minutes, ten squats. REMINDS YOU WITH THE APP CLOSED A background service shows a notification at slot time with START, SNOOZE and SKIP. Nothing has to stay open on the watch. START opens straight onto the set. The menu has Test alert, which fires the same notification right now. If the notification is too quiet for you, switch on Ask to open app: the watch then also puts up a dialog with the slot time that interrupts whatever is on screen, and accepting it lands on START, SNOOZE and SKIP with three long buzzes. Off by default, because interrupting you is something you should agree to. COUNTS SQUATS ON YOUR WRIST While a slot runs, the accelerometer counts repetitions and the ring fills one segment per rep, cool colours to warm. The counter is experimental: you confirm the number, and can correct it, before anything is stored. MISSED ONE? CATCH UP ANY TIME Meetings happen. Start a set from the menu whenever you can and the watch asks what it should count for: the slot you missed, the next one coming, or an extra set. Each option shows its time. Extra sets add to the day's total without touching the schedule or the ratio. FOUR SCREENS, UP AND DOWN The ring first. Then today in numbers: slots done, slots left, the hour the schedule runs to, reps and active time. Then the last 7 days, one bar per day with the weekday under it - so you can see which day keeps slipping. Then the last 28 days, a month in one look. Back always returns to the ring. And before any of that, a glance: the next slot and today's count sit in the glance list, so most days you never open the app at all. ONE ACTIVITY A DAY, NOT EIGHTEEN Nothing goes to Garmin Connect behind your back, and never in the middle of the day. End for today closes the day and asks; the first set of the next day asks about the day before. The question shows what would be saved, and declining asks a second time. The activity carries the whole day - total reps, number of sets, total active time - plus one lap per set with its own reps and duration. PERMISSIONS AND WHY • Background - to wake at the times you entered. Without it nothing happens while the app is closed. • Notifications - to show the slot notification from the background. • Sensor - the accelerometer, only while a slot is running, to count squats. Turn counting off and it is never touched. • Fit and FitContributor - to save the day as one activity in Garmin Connect. Nothing is sent without your confirmation.
