Cadence Coach is a quiet cadence coach for your runs. Pick a target cadence and keep running: while you are in it, your watch stays silent. When you drift out, it vibrates. No constant beeping. - Your target is a range, 170 to 180 steps per minute (spm) to start with, or one exact number: set both ends to the same value and you get that cadence plus or minus 2. - Too slow is three quick taps, too fast is two long buzzes, so you know what to do without looking. A grace period (10 seconds to start with) keeps a short slip from buzzing you, and a repeat cooldown (20 seconds) spaces out the reminders while you are still off target. - It only speaks up while your activity timer is running: never when you pause or stop. - The field shows your current cadence big, green in the zone, blue when too low and red when too high, with a triangle pointing up or down, your target range and a short word (IN ZONE, LOW, HIGH). On watches with a black-and-white screen it is drawn in plain white or black. - Prefer sound? Choose vibration, vibration and tone, or tone only. Watches that cannot play tones stay with vibration. - Your target range and the time you spent in it are saved with the activity, so you can look back at them in Garmin Connect. - Change the target, grace period, cooldown and alert style in the Connect IQ app on your phone. - Add it as a data field to the data screens of your Run activity. Made for running watches; it uses the cadence your watch measures. Cadence Coach needs no account and no internet access, and it does not track you. What it saves (your target and time in zone) goes only into your own activity, which syncs to your Garmin Connect like any other.
