This one works it out: Sun and Moon are computed on the watch from the date and time, no phone and no internet needed. The maths was checked against Swiss Ephemeris on 16 dates between 2000 and 2030 — the largest differences were 0.006 degrees for the Sun and 0.07 for the Moon. Those are measured on that test set, not a promise for every date. THREE SKIES, ONE FACE Midnight is a golden ring over a mountain night. Cosmos is a blue-violet star field with silver markings. Classic is a warm ivory chart with engraved peaks — the one you wear with a leather strap. Switch on the watch or from your phone. BEFORE YOU ASK WHY IT SAYS SET LOCATION The ascendant needs a place. The face uses your watch's last GPS fix, or the latitude and longitude you type into settings. Travelled far? Refresh the fix or update the coordinates. Above 66 degrees of latitude the ascendant is intentionally unavailable — the horizon geometry stops being meaningful there. HONEST ABOUT WHAT IT IS The ring shows twelve equal tropical signs, which is what astrology uses — not the uneven astronomical constellation boundaries. The star field is decoration, not a map of the real sky. The ascendant is for right now at your location; it is not a birth chart. Missing values show two dashes rather than a guess.
