FG Vector is a golf training app that puts your practice numbers on your wrist.
Pair this watch app with the FG Vector app for iPhone: shortly after each shot, the numbers from the iPhone app appear on your wrist — no need to pick up your phone. Three pages — switch with the UP/DOWN buttons or by swiping:
• Distance — estimated carry, total and a posture score
• Speed — estimated club speed, ball speed and smash factor
• Trajectory — estimated apex and launch angle, plus start direction: degrees left or right of your usual start line
A colored badge shows the estimated shot shape (draw, fade, straight, hook, slice and more). Ball-less practice swings are detected automatically and shown separately, so they stay out of your training stats.
Press START or tap the screen to change the active club right from your wrist — the list comes from your bag in the iPhone app and your choice is sent back to it. The watch also records wrist motion around each shot and sends it to the iPhone app, which saves it with the shot.
All values are training estimates, meant to help you track trends over time.
Requires an iPhone with the FG Vector app, the Garmin Connect app and Bluetooth. Without the paired iPhone app this watch app has nothing to display.
Works on Approach, Venu, Vivoactive, Fenix, Epix, Forerunner, Instinct, D2, MARQ, Descent and Enduro series watches.
