Keep the map in view while reading more ride information at a glance, including when Garmin's native elevation chart is displayed. Garmin provides the map, navigation, elevation chart and activity recording; Ride Dashboard provides the configurable data area. Other full-width and half-width placements are also supported. Configure everything directly on the Edge: tap a tile in the sample preview to select its metric, arrange your tiles, or start with the General, Power or Climbing preset. Configuration and dashboard labels follow your supported device language. Choose up to eight tiles from 48 metrics. Values resize automatically; small areas may hide trailing tiles to keep the remaining values legible. Adjust label size, units and heart-rate/power zone background colors. All placements share one configuration. Monitored sensor-dependent tiles can alternate with a red warning when their data is missing; an unavailable value appears as -. Additional strip The optional additional strip shows route progress, the current heart-rate zone, the current power zone, or the heart-rate zone-time distribution for the current lap. Place it above or below the tiles, or turn it off. It hides when the selected mode lacks the required data, returning the space to the tiles. Required data Heart rate, cadence and power need corresponding paired sensors; gear metrics need compatible electronic shifting. Destination, next-point, off-course and arrival values need the relevant data from an active route. W/kg, FTP percentage and heart-rate zone/maximum percentage need rider profile data. Solar intensity requires an Edge 1040 Solar. Languages Configuration and dashboard display support 14 languages and automatically follow the device language; unsupported languages fall back to English.
