A detailed lunar disc, with craters visible even on its shadowed side, sits against a subtle background inspired by Marea’s waves. SEVEN SCREENS TO EXPLORE 1. Moon Now See the lunar phase and illuminated percentage alongside the Moon’s portrait. During the full phase, discover the traditional name of the full moon. 2. Moon Journey Explore up to 30 days before or after today. Five miniature moons show the progression across nearby dates. Your selected date carries over to the other pages, letting you explore the same day from different perspectives. 3. Moon Portrait Check the phase, illumination, distance from Earth’s centre and apparent diameter. Press START for explanations of all eight phases. From the full moon explanation, explore its traditional name, background and source. 4. Upcoming Phases See the next four principal phases, with dates and countdowns relative to your selected date: new moon, first quarter, full moon and last quarter. 5. Moon Horizon Find the Moon’s altitude, azimuth, rise and set times for the available location. The diagram keeps north at the top; it is not a compass. 6. Sun and Night Check sunrise, sunset, civil and nautical twilight, and the boundaries of astronomical night. This page also follows your location and selected day. 7. Discover Explore 366 original short astronomy cards, including a dedicated February 29 entry and viewable source references. Press START to browse and MENU to see the reference. Based on sources such as NASA, Royal Museums Greenwich and the US Naval Observatory, the offline collection repeats annually. It is not a live news feed. EASY TO USE Navigate with UP/DOWN or swipes. START opens page actions; BACK returns to the previous view. A Glance provides a quick look at phase and illumination. English, Italian, French, Spanish and German follow your watch language, with English as the fallback. LOCATION AND PRIVACY The app first uses a location available on the watch, then its locally saved location, and searches for GPS if neither is available. Press START on the Horizon or Sun page to refresh it. A stored location may be old: update it after travelling. Astronomy calculations run offline. The app requires no additional account, shows no advertising and does not send your location to servers. PLEASE NOTE Percentages are rounded down without decimals; the phase classified as full is conventionally displayed as 100%. Calculations and event times are approximate, not precision ephemerides. Times use the watch’s time zone. The lunar texture and shadow brightness are illustrative; full moon names reflect Northern Hemisphere traditions. What’s new in version 1.1.1 Fixed an issue that could prevent the app from opening during the full moon, displaying the IQ! error. The Moon’s traditional name is now calculated in small steps: the screen appears immediately and the name is added a few seconds later, without freezing the app. Features, languages and supported devices remain unchanged.
