Orienteering with virtual controls – right on your wrist. Generate QR codes for your courses at https://run.controlfreak.se/. ControlFreak Run turns your Garmin watch into a punching card, for virtual controls. No flags, no punching units, no one who has to go out and set up controls. The course is a list of GPS positions, and your watch punches each control when you reach it. At the finish line you get a summary. The GPS trace is recorded as usual. At the finish, the result will be uploaded on ControlFreak Live, to compare with others who have ran the same course. Your name and results will be openly visible on the site. The displayed name can be changed in the ControlFreak Run settings. To fetch a course, either - on the watch open ControlFreak Run and select "Fetch new course". This opens a QR scanner dialog on your phone. After scanning, the course immediately shows up on your watch. OR - on the phone open Garmin Connect and then the ControlFreak Run app and "Settings"; paste the QR link in the "Fetch course" field Also supports rogaining.
