Orienteering with virtual controls – right on your wrist. Generate QR codes for your courses at https://run.controlfreak.se/. ControlFreak Run turns your Garmin watch into a punching card, for virtual controls. No flags, no punching units, no one who has to go out and set up controls. The course is a list of GPS positions, and your watch punches each control when you reach it. At the finish line you get a summary. The GPS trace is recorded as usual. To fetch a course, either - on the watch open ControlFreak Run and select "Fetch new course". This opens a QR scanner dialog on your phone. After scanning, the course immediately shows up on your watch. OR - on the phone open Garmin Connect and then the ControlFreak Run app and "Settings"; paste the QR link in the "Fetch course" field Also supports rogaining.
