Ascend sets bold numerals on a charcoal background, with your colour washing down from the top. Above the time, a small skill tree fills in as your day goes on. Each of its three branches can follow a goal (steps, active minutes, floors), a level (Body Battery, calm, battery) or your workouts this week: all workouts, runs, rides, swims or everything else. Goals fill a node at every quarter. Workouts fill one node each, and four complete the branch with a tick. By default the tree follows steps, workouts this week and active minutes. Below the time are three slim progress bars and two rounded chips. The bars, chips and side fields can each show any of 19 data fields: heart rate, resting heart rate, steps, calories, distance, floors, active minutes, Body Battery, stress, Pulse Ox, respiration, VO2 max, recovery time, altitude, temperature, notifications, battery, date, or the next sunrise or sunset. - Skill tree with three configurable branches - Three progress bars, two chips and two side fields, all configurable - Seconds shown as a thin progress ring (can be turned off) - 17 colour schemes, including three light ones, plus two live options: Dynamic, which shifts from red through amber to blue as your Body Battery, calm and step progress improve, and Rainbow, which glides through the palette every few seconds - Colour header that can be turned off for a plain charcoal look - Short animation when you raise your wrist (can be turned off) - Large, dimmed always-on time that shifts slightly to protect the screen - Settings on the watch itself (from the watch face menu) or in the Connect IQ app
