NEW IN 2.0 — THE WATCH SEES YOUR SHOOTING (if it has a gyro) Wear the watch on your support hand (the hand under the rifle, with the sling). The watch feels every shot: the recoil, the reload, the hand settling into the hold. Biathlon Coach turns that into: - BC AimCast: a replay of the last seconds before every shot — reloading, settling, the hold, the trigger, the recoil — with hold time, steadiness and trigger snatch as numbers, plus graphs of the whole series. Your coach sees whether you fired while still moving onto the target, or from a steady hold. - Automatic series detection: shoot without a coach present, and the series still appears in the app with every shot's time and heart rate. Fill in hits and misses afterwards — or leave it; the timing and rhythm count anyway. - Works without your phone: the watch stores everything and delivers it when your phone is back in range — a whole session, complete. Leave the phone in the bag. FEATURES - BC HitCast: your hit picture appears on the watch for ten seconds after a series is registered - Live heart rate and GPS streaming to Biathlon Coach (via Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone) - Records your full session as a normal activity (saved to Garmin Connect) - Three sport profiles: Skate Snow, Roller Ski, Run - Zero interaction during the session — start it and forget it - Automatic resume from pause when you start moving - Everything is kept on the watch until delivered — no phone needed during the session AIMCAST NEEDS A GYROSCOPE Shot detection and AimCast use the watch's accelerometer and gyroscope. Watches without a gyroscope (e.g. Forerunner 55/165/245, Instinct 2, Venu Sq, vívoactive 5) still stream heart rate, GPS and HitCast, and still work fully without the phone. PAIRING Until the watch is paired, its status screen shows a QR code. Scan it with your phone camera: you land on www.biathloncoach.no/pair with the watch code filled in, and just pick the athlete. No account yet? Scanning takes you straight into a 24-hour trial — plot a series and see your heart rate at every shot — and you can create an account afterwards and keep everything. You can also type the 6-character code shown below the QR on the athlete card in the web app. REQUIREMENTS - A Biathlon Coach club account (www.biathloncoach.no) — or just scan the QR code to try it without one - Garmin Connect Mobile on your phone (the watch delivers through it — during or after the session) Heart-rate and movement data are personal data. Consent is given in the app before anything is stored, and can be withdrawn at any time. See our privacy policy: https://www.biathloncoach.no/privacy

v2.1.3 Improved dry-fire detection: with an Anschütz rifle and a sling, the watch now recognises most dry trigger pulls (prone). Try it out and we promise a surprise. Also fixes a bug where a watch that had not been restarted for about 25 days stopped recognising shots. v2.1.2 The watch now communicates with the brand new BC Watch Face. It lets the WF read your best series and number of shots fired last 10 days. As on every new release, improved stability and tuned sensor thresholds. v2.1.0 If you know, you know. A new feature for those who do, plus better shot detection on 100 Hz watches and a clearer INFO screen. Wear the watch on the support arm. v2.0.2 Fixed failed AimCast on watches with 25hz sensors. v2.0.1 Better error-handling and some minor fixes. v2.0.0 The watch now sees your shooting, if it has a gyro. Worn on the support hand, it feels the recoil, the reload and the hand settling into the hold. Biathlon Coach turns that into BC AimCast — a replay of the seconds before every shot, with hold time, steadiness and trigger snatch — and detects your series automatically, so a session shot without a coach still shows up in the app with every shot's time and heart rate. And the watch now stores everything until your phone is back in range: leave the phone in the bag, the whole session arrives when you get home. AimCast needs a gyroscope; all watches keep heart rate, GPS and HitCast. v1.0.9 Small fixes v1.0.8 Small fixes and it should now be a bit more intuitive to pair the watch app with the phone app. v1.0.7 Small fixes v1.0.6 Easier to test out the whole ecosystem without registering. v1.0.5 BC HitCast now draws the app's full target on colour-screen watches: correct geometry for prone and standing, guide rings, the scale bar, and green/red shot markers numbered in firing order. Watches with memory-in-pixel displays keep the simple black-and-white hit/miss view, which stays readable in bright sunlight. Wide misses are now kept inside the round display instead of being clipped at a corner. v1.0.4 Small fixes v1.0.3 Shows your shooting result on the watch — a simple hit/miss target for a few seconds after each series, then back to your pulse. (Requires your coach's Biathlon Coach setup.) v1.0.2 Smarter streaming that saves your phone battery : • Lower phone battery use — the app now sends less often when nobody is watching the live view, and returns to full speed the moment your coach (or someone else) opens it • Instant catch-up — buffered data is sent immediately when your watch reconnects to your phone (e.g. arriving at the shooting range) • Fresher live heart rate — your current pulse now comes through first while older data backfills in the background
