No subscription, automatic purchase or second installation. Activation is for this watch face on this watch. How to activate 1. Select HORIZON as your watch face. Open its settings on the watch, select “Online activation” and consent to sending the app/device identifier, model and version to efface. 2. Connect your watch to Garmin Connect and the internet. Open “Activation code” to retrieve your code. Background requests can take several minutes. 3. Select “Show QR code” and scan it with your phone, or visit https://www.effing.de/watchfaces/activate/. Enter the code shown on your watch, check the product and price, then purchase with PayPal. 4. Keep Garmin Connect connected. During the activation window, checks are scheduled roughly every five minutes; Garmin and connectivity determine actual timing. Once confirmed, the full watch face appears and settings show “License: Unlocked”. The activation code, purchase URL and QR code disappear from the watch interface. The saved activation also works offline. After reinstalling, reconnect to restore the license. Refunds or administrative resets take effect on the next successful server check. Location and language Solar times require a location. Allow location access for Garmin Connect on your phone, sync your watch and select “Location → Automatic” or “Refresh location” in watch face settings. If no usable location is available, use “Location → Enter coordinates” to enter latitude and longitude. Current weather on your watch does not by itself guarantee that the watch face has access to a usable location. Always-on behavior and rendering depend on your device.
