Turn your Garmin watch or Edge bike computer into a Bluetooth remote for your DJI Osmo action cameras. Mount one camera, or several, on your helmet, chest, bike or board and control them without reaching for them. WHAT IT DOES • Start and stop recording, or take a photo, with one press. • Switch between Video, Photo, Slow-motion, Timelapse and Hyperlapse, or pick a mode from a list. • See the camera's current mode, recording state and a recording timer at a glance. • Use up to 5 cameras at once: record on all of them together, on one, or on any combination. • Feel a short buzz when recording has started and a double buzz when it has stopped (watches). • Send your GPS position to the cameras, so DJI Mimo can add speed, route and elevation overlays to your footage. • Connects directly to the cameras over Bluetooth. No phone and no internet connection needed. SUPPORTED CAMERAS • Tested: Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 6 • Should work (not yet tested): Osmo Action 4, Osmo 360 • Not supported: Osmo Nano, Osmo Action 3 and earlier CONTROLS • Watches with buttons: START shoots. UP and DOWN change the mode. Hold UP for the menu: Mode, Select, Cameras. • Touchscreen watches: tap to shoot, swipe up or down to change the mode, and touch and hold for the menu. • Edge bike computers: START or tap shoots, LAP moves to the next mode, and touch and hold opens the menu. Modes can't be changed while a camera is recording. GETTING STARTED 1. On the camera, turn on Wireless Connection (swipe down, Settings, Wireless Connection). 2. Open Remote for DJI Osmo. It finds the camera and connects automatically. 3. The first time, the camera asks you to confirm. Check that the 4-digit code matches the one on your Garmin device, then confirm on the camera. After that, the camera recognizes your device and connects without asking again. SEVERAL CAMERAS • To add another camera, open the menu, then Cameras, then Add camera. Each new camera asks you to confirm once, and the Garmin screen shows which camera it is. • In Select, choose which cameras your presses control. START records or stops them together, and mode changes reach all of them. • Each camera needs its own Bluetooth connection, so how many connect at once depends on your device. Two cameras together have been tested. GOOD TO KNOW • GPS starts as soon as the app opens, so it's ready when the camera connects. Positions are only sent when the signal is good. • While a camera is still responding, the screen shows "Starting...", "Stopping..." or the new mode with "..." in front. • If a camera is switched off, the app reconnects it when it's back on. Press START to search right away. • To save battery, the app searches for 30 seconds at a time. Press START to search again. • Turn off Wireless Connection on the camera when you're not using the remote. PRIVACY No accounts, no analytics, no internet access.
