OVERDRIVE is a free neon digital watch face laid out like a heads-up display: a big seven-segment clock in electric cyan, with the numbers you check most arranged around it. It is drawn entirely in code, so it stays sharp on every supported screen, AMOLED and MIP, from 218 to 454 pixels across. THE CLOCK Slanted seven-segment digits; on AMOLED screens the unlit segments glow faintly behind them, like a real LCD. The time follows your watch's 12- or 24-hour setting, with AM or PM in 12-hour mode. While the watch is awake the colon blinks and amber seconds count below the minutes. HUD corner brackets frame the time, inside a ring of hour ticks (with minute ticks between them on AMOLED). AROUND THE CLOCK Date: weekday, day and month, in amber. Status row: a battery icon that fills with the charge, with the percentage; a Bluetooth symbol while your phone is connected; and a dot with your notification count when you have notifications. Heart rate: your current heart rate beside a heart that pulses while the watch is awake. Steps: the left arc fills toward your daily step goal, with your step count below. Body Battery: the right arc fills with your Body Battery level, with the number below. Cyan above 50, amber from 21 to 50, red at 20 or less. The watch battery percentage uses the same colours. FITTED TO YOUR SCREEN Every row of text is placed from your watch's own font sizes and fitted inside the round screen, clear of the arcs and the bezel ticks, so the same face reads cleanly on a 454-pixel fēnix 8 and a 218-pixel Forerunner 255s. ALWAYS-ON On AMOLED watches with always-on turned on, the sleeping face shows only the time, in dim grey, and moves it slightly every minute for burn-in protection. On MIP watches the whole face stays on screen while the watch sleeps; only the seconds hide until it wakes. NO SETUP There are no settings to configure: choose OVERDRIVE as your watch face and it works. PERMISSION OVERDRIVE asks for one permission, so that it can read the Body Battery level your watch already measures. If your watch reports no Body Battery, the right arc stays empty and the number reads "--".
