Descripción

TrueGlobeClock tells the time with the Earth turning in space. You see the Earth as a globe, from above your latitude, turning once a day on its real axis. Your parallel is drawn on it as a belt with the 24 hours, and the Earth carries you along it: the red dot is you, and where it sits on the belt is the time. In the small hours you pass behind the Earth, as you really do. The night is computed for today's date, so you see the seasons as the tilt of the night, and the yellow dot is where the sun is overhead. Around the Earth shine the real bright stars that lie behind it; they turn once a year. The minute is a short line on the edge. Options (Connect IQ app on your phone): Time shown: clock time (your time zone, with summer time as set on the watch), clock time without summer time, or true solar time View: from your latitude, or from higher up (you never pass behind the Earth) Hour numbers: normal or large Your position: a dot, a dot with a ring, a hand from the Earth's axis, or a dot with an arrow on the edge; small, normal or large; red, orange, magenta, cyan or white Position: the watch's current position (the last one it knows, from an activity or the weather) or a fixed position you type in Battery friendly: the Earth turns a quarter of a degree a minute, so the globe is redrawn every 12 minutes and kept as an image; every minute only your position and the minute move. On AMOLED watches the always-on mode shows just the coastlines and your position, dimmed and moved every minute. Map: Natural Earth (public domain).
