STARTING IS ONE BUTTON
On fenix, Forerunner and Enduro, START begins your fast and START ends it. That's the whole thing. The menu — MENU, or hold UP — is where you pick your mode and open settings. DOWN goes deeper: details, statistics, history. Your achievements are in the menu.
On vívoactive, tap the screen to start and tap it to stop. The action button opens the menu.
ABOUT THE MODES
Choose by how long you want to go without eating. 14:10 is the gentle one and a good first week. 16:8 is the most studied. 18:6 and 20:4 tighten the window. OMAD is one meal a day, 36h is an extended fast, and Custom takes anything from 1 to 72 hours.
Circadian works differently. Instead of a fixed number it reads your sunrise and sunset and builds a 10–12h eating window centred on solar noon, so the fast is whatever is left of the day — it follows the season on its own. You pick your city once, from a list of 143 — Barcelona, Lima, Osaka — or type your coordinates if you live somewhere else. The app never asks for access to your location.
IF YOU FORGET
Forgot to end a fast? The app asks when you actually finished, so a forgotten timer doesn't become a fake 30-hour record. Any saved fast can be edited later — its start, its end, its mode — or deleted.
You can also switch on a reminder for when you haven't started, or haven't stopped, on time.
MADE BY ONE PERSON
Fasting Timer is free, has no ads and no subscriptions, and will stay that way. It is built by one person, and every version comes from wearing it on a real wrist.
Nyheder
• Venu 4 and vívoactive 6: the menu (fasting modes, settings, achievements, edit start/end) opens again. Use the watch's menu control marked on the right edge of the screen.
• Nothing else changes. Your history, current fast and settings carry over.
• Now available on more watches: Enduro 3, Enduro 4, fēnix 7 Pro, epix (Gen 2), epix Pro, fēnix E, Venu 3, Venu 4, MARQ (Gen 2), D2 Mach, Descent Mk3.
• Nothing changes on watches that already had the app. Your history, current fast and settings carry over.
• Notifications now end the fast on the spot. Before, the "Finish" button just opened the widget and you had to press Finish again inside it; now touching the notification — or its button — closes the fast straight away. The "fast complete" notification also gained that action: it used to be the only one of the three you could merely dismiss.
• Fixed: tapping "Start" on an old notification while a fast was already running restarted it, and the time you had counted was lost.
• Achievements. 17 to unlock, from your first fast to a 30-day streak. They live in the menu: the ones you have earned sit on top, and the next one shows how far along you are.
• Circadian mode now follows the real sun. Pick your city from a list of 143 — or type your coordinates — and your eating window is built from that day's sunrise and sunset: 10–12h centred on solar noon, with the fast being whatever is left of the day. Until now it was a fixed 12h that only claimed to follow the sun.
• No location permission any more. The app never asks for access to your position. You tell it where you are, once.
• New 14:10 mode, gentler for getting started.
• Streak and personal record. Consecutive days meeting your goal, right in Statistics; finishing a fast that beats your longest one now says so.
• New Details screen and a 7-fast chart. One DOWN from the timer: current physiological stage with its description, time to the next one, and today's eating window. Statistics now shows your last seven fasts as bars.
• Export your history. Settings → Export draws a QR code; scan it with your phone to see the table and download a CSV. Nothing is uploaded anywhere — the data travels inside the link itself.
• Fixed: the MENU hint sat too high and read as if it pointed at the LIGHT button. It is now at the height of UP.
• Fixed: UP on the first fast in History now goes back instead of jumping to the end of the list.
• Fixed: the CSV download button did nothing on iPhone.
