Trail Barometer: see where the weather is heading. A clean hiker's watch face built around a storm-glass-style gauge. Instead of simply showing a pressure number, Trail Barometer shows what the pressure is doing, so you can see at a glance whether conditions are steady or changing. BAROMETRIC TREND GAUGE - 3-hour pressure trend on a five-band dial: falling fast, falling, steady, rising and rising fast - Needle plus a plain-language trend label and the pressure change, for example: "FALLING -2.4" - When your altitude has changed significantly, the needle is hidden and the face shows MOVING, because climbing or descending also changes pressure - Uses your watch's recorded pressure history and needs approximately two hours of data before a trend can be displayed THREE STATS, YOUR CHOICE Choose any three statistics for the row beneath the gauge: - Altitude - Pressure - Ascent over the last hour - Steps - Battery - Heart rate Clear icons sit above each value. Altitude and ascent follow your watch's metres/feet setting. FIVE THEMES Choose from Storm Dark, Alpine White, Glacier, Forest and Ember. Alpine White uses coloured icons and is ideal for MIP displays. CUSTOMISE ON YOUR PHONE - Theme - Pressure unit: hPa, inHg or mmHg - Stat 1, Stat 2 and Stat 3 - Show or hide the date - Show the watch face in sleep mode on AMOLED watches with a dimmed, burn-in-safe display UNDERSTANDING THE PRESSURE GUIDE Pressure is displayed in hPa, inHg or mmHg. Trail Barometer compares recent pressure readings and shows the three-hour trend using five simple labels: - FALLING FAST: pressure is dropping quickly and unsettled weather may be approaching - FALLING: pressure is dropping and conditions may become more unsettled - STEADY: pressure is changing little and conditions are likely to remain relatively consistent - RISING: pressure is increasing and conditions may become more settled - RISING FAST: pressure is increasing quickly and improving or more settled weather may be approaching Pressure varies with altitude, location and season, so trends are usually more useful than a single reading. These indications are not a weather forecast, and conditions can change quickly in the mountains. GOOD TO KNOW - Requires a watch with a built-in barometric sensor - The trend is most useful when you are roughly stationary, such as at camp, in a hut or during a summit break. Movement and changes in altitude can affect the reading - Always check official forecasts before heading into the mountains - 12/24-hour time follows your watch settings Designed for hikers, climbers and anyone who likes to know which way the weather is turning.
