Beskrivelse
ourglassClock tells the time with sand. The ship's glass empties every half hour, as on sailing ships: each time it was turned a bell was struck, from 1 to 8 bells in a four-hour watch. The face shows the watch (afternoon watch, first dog watch...), the bells already rung and the ones still to come, and how much sand is left.
Or choose the hourly glass: it empties once an hour, with the hour in Roman numerals carved on the frame and the date below.
Three styles:
Classic: wooden frame, glass bulbs, sand with a hollow on top and a heap below
Minimal: two triangles and flat sand
Digital: thirty grains, one per minute, with the countdown to the end of the glass
Options (Connect IQ app on your phone): style, ship's glass or hourly glass, a ring of small glasses around the face (the hours, or the turns of the glass in the watch), sand color (desert, cream, white, gold, red, green, azure, violet) and frame (wood, brass, silver, ebony).
How to read it: 2 bells in the afternoon watch and a full glass = 13:00. 5 bells and a third of the sand down = 14:40.
