---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- *** UPDATE OpenWeatherMap OneCall API Subscription and a new KEY 3.0 is required*** The 2.5 API has been turned down in June 2024, the old keys may no longer work. Create a separate OneCall Key for the widget and limit number of calls per day. Usuall there is a handful requests per day, but that depend how often the location is changing. To be sure, pleae make one here :https://home.openweathermap.org/subscriptions/unauth_subscribe/onecall_30/base I would recommend to set a daily limit on the key calls per day. It take about an hour for a new key to get activated. Give it some time. You can force the update by going down to the last view with the QR code and press down. The app will be calling server a few times per day, so free tier is more than enough to get it covered. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Show your support for sun safety and help spread awareness about the risks of skin cancer by leaving a review on the widget. Let's make a difference together! For the development and operational level support, please: https://www.buymeacoffee.com/axl13 The widget displays current and maximum UV index at the location using hourly 48h *forecast*. To get more frequent updates, please register your own OpenWeather One Call API key at https://www.openweathermap.org and put it in the Widget settings. Make sure the key is active, and its version specified in the settings. Otherwise the forecast updated once per day at the location. NOTE: The data is passed through a proxy servers which do some heavy lifting on behalf of your watch. Sun protection is required when the UV index is 3 or higher. Use your own judgement!!! Now go play outside! Made by the guy who chased the ostrich: https://youtu.be/kotWv4MCxNI

* *2.2a • Beautiful Vector Text: The 24-hour radial dial now utilizes native system vector fonts for crisp, perfectly curved numbers on all modern watches. • Seamless API Activation: OpenWeatherMap 3.0 keys can take up to 2 hours to activate. The app now gracefully falls back to Garmin's built-in weather data while waiting, so your watch face is never empty. • Smart Background Syncing: The app intelligently tests new API keys in the background without draining your battery, silently upgrading you to the 48-hour forecast the moment OpenWeatherMap approves your key. • UI Refinements: Finely tuned the dial spacing for a cleaner aesthetic, and updated on-screen status messages to be more helpful ("Key Activating..."). • Optimized Install Size: Unified over 80+ image assets into a single dynamically scaling graphic, significantly reducing the app's install size. *2.2 • Full Fenix 8 Series Support: UI dynamically adapts to new bezel sizes (including Solar models) for a perfect edge-to-edge layout. • Crisper Graphics: Upgraded modern devices (Fenix 7/8, Epix 2, Venu 3) to use high-resolution native vector fonts for the 24-hour radial dial, saving memory and improving clarity. • Scrollable Info Pages: Long UV forecast descriptions can now be easily scrolled using touch swipes or physical buttons. • Performance Boost: eliminated the UI freeze when scrolling to the widget in the glance carousel. *2.1 (Performance & Precision Update) • WHO-Standard Elevation Math: Refined the high-altitude UV amplification formula (+10% UV index per 1,000m of elevation gain) to perfectly align with the latest World Health Organization scientific standards. • Massive Battery & Performance Boost: Completely rebuilt the sunrise/sunset rendering engine. High-resolution AMOLED and OLED watches will now experience significantly faster screen redraws and reduced battery drain when viewing the main widget. • Data Synchronization Fixes: Resolved an issue where pressing the start button to view the current "Info View" details could occasionally display slightly desynced or outdated UV data. • Enhanced Stability: Upgraded the background syncing logic with strict memory protections to prevent silent background crashes on older legacy devices when downloading heavy forecast data. *2.0c Changelog This release focuses on significantly improving the stability, reliability, and user experience of the app, especially for new users and in edge-case scenarios. Features & Enhancements * Smarter Navigation: The "Down" button is now more intelligent. It will show the "TOMORROW" forecast if you have a valid API key, and will otherwise show the "Buy Me a Coffee" QR code page (unless you've disabled it in the settings). * Improved Location Updates: The app is now much smarter about when to refresh data. It will automatically update when you travel a significant distance (approx. 10km), ensuring the forecast is always relevant to your current location. * Translation Overhaul: All translations have been completed and verified for all supported languages, ensuring a consistent experience for all users. Obsolete and untranslated strings have been removed. * Expanded Device Support: Added support for the d2mach2 and instinctcrossoveramoled devices. Bug Fixes & Stability * Startup Crashes Eliminated: Fixed a series of critical crashes that could occur on a fresh install, especially when a valid API key was not present or when Garmin's weather service returned incomplete data. * Deadlock Prevention: Implemented a robust watchdog timer and startup checks to prevent the background service from getting stuck, which previously would stop all future updates. * Guaranteed Manual Refresh: The "Manual Refresh" option now correctly forces an immediate data fetch, bypassing all other checks. * Preserved Daily History: Fixed a critical bug where fetching new data w
