A dive watch in steel and lume: a sunburst dial under a 60-minute bezel, read by polished hands against applied indices. The hour and minute hands are faceted dauphines in polished steel with a strip of lume down the middle, and their two facets catch the light differently as they turn. They step the way a quartz diver's do: the minute hand on the minute, the hour hand every twelve minutes. A thin seconds hand runs over them with a lume dot near its tip. Steel indices filled with green lume mark the hours, with a triangle at 12. At 3, a date window shows the day of the month, with a small calendar printed above it. At 9, a matching window shows your body battery, with a small battery printed above it. Two subdials sit on the vertical: heart rate at 12, on a 40 to 200 scale, and battery reserve at 6, on a 0 to 100 scale. Either can be switched off, leaving the plain dial in its place. The whole dial is rendered as a real one would look: a brushed sunburst, subdials sunk into it with a concentric finish and a soft shadow all round, bevelled steel frames on every index and window, and a glint across the crystal. The bezel carries a minute scale over its first quarter, numerals every ten and a lume pip at zero, inside a knurled edge. Always-on goes dark the way a diver's dial does at night: the lume glows, the hands and the two windows are drawn as dim outlines with the date and body battery still showing, and each subdial that is on keeps its scale and needle. It is kept well within the display brightness limit, so it stays lit instead of blanking after a few seconds. SETTINGS Dial colour: orange, black, blue, green or silver. Every dial except silver has light printing. Bezel colour: black, orange, blue, green or silver. Each coloured bezel is a shade darker than the matching dial, and any bezel goes with any dial. Heart rate dial: on or off. Battery reserve dial: on or off. The date comes from the watch.
