fuelant puts your fueling plan on your Garmin and keeps it up to date while you train or race. Add the fuelant data field to an activity, send your session from the fuelant app, and start your run or ride. The field counts down to your next cue and alerts you when it’s time to take carbs, fluid or sodium. Cues adapt live to your heart rate, pace or power, heat and altitude, and to what you’ve actually taken. WHAT YOU SEE • Countdown to your next fuel cue, with a heads-up before it’s due • Full-screen “Fuel now” alert with exactly what to take • Press LAP to log that you took it; fuelant adjusts the next cue • Feeling off? Press LAP twice for “stomach off” or three times for “low energy”, and fuelant adapts • Races: follows your legs and transitions, and alerts you as you approach aid stations • Works full screen, half screen and quarter screen, and on Edge bike computers REQUIREMENTS • The fuelant app (iPhone or Android) and a fuelant account • Send your session or race plan from the app with “Send to watch” before you start • Add the field to an activity: in the fuelant app, go to Connections → Garmin → Set up live cues for step-by-step instructions for your watch PERMISSIONS • Communications: receives your plan from the fuelant phone app and sends back what you logged • Positioning: distance to aid stations on race plans • FIT contributor: records carbs and fluid in your activity file • Data field alert: shows fuel cues Instinct 2 and Instinct 3 Solar 45 mm are no longer supported because the field needs more memory than they allow.
