Gridhunt turns your rides into map tiles (the standard zoom-14 grid, about 1.6 km) and finds your biggest square. Gridhunt Live is a data field you add to an activity screen on your Edge bike computer or watch: it works with any Garmin activity profile and its recording. What it shows: • The tile grid around you: visited, new on this ride, your biggest square and your target, the current tile. • A counter of new tiles on this ride and your square size, "NEW TILE!" and "SQUARE +1!" alerts. • An arrow and the distance to the nearest new tile. • A layout that fits the field size: full screen, 1/2 to 1/4 of the screen or a narrow text-only strip; a round layout on watches. How it works: • It downloads the tiles around you (about ±35 km) in the background through your phone with the Garmin Connect app (or Wi-Fi), at most every 5 minutes, as Connect IQ allows. Without a phone it works on the last downloaded area and remembers the tiles you collect during the ride. • The data field records nothing and uploads no rides: your device saves the ride as usual. • 9 languages: English, Polish, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Czech, Danish. Free and paid: The data field is free to download, but the tiles (everything it shows) require a Gridhunt Premium subscription. Without Premium the field only shows "Gridhunt Premium required". You buy Premium at gridhunt.app or in the Gridhunt app for iPhone or Android, not in the Connect IQ Store. Requirements: • A Gridhunt account (gridhunt.app) with Gridhunt Premium. • A phone with the Garmin Connect app (or Wi-Fi) to download tiles. • Pairing with a code: in Gridhunt open Settings → Connections → "Connect device" and enter the 6-character code in Garmin Connect → your device → Connect IQ apps → Gridhunt Live → Settings → "Pairing code". Or add the field to an activity screen: it shows a code that you enter in Gridhunt ("Code from device"). The data field and the Gridhunt app are paired separately. • The data field uses no ANT+ sensors.
