Overwatch is a tactical watch face built from hand-drawn pixel scenes. A large 24-hour clock sits in the center of the display, with the date, Zulu (UTC) time and a seconds counter. Four readings of your choice sit below it, and each one opens its own page when you press and hold. FOUR THEMES Mountain, Air, Sea and Desert. Each theme is its own scene with a matching color palette. Press and hold the clock to step through them, or choose one in Garmin Connect. FOUR READINGS Upper left, upper right, lower left and lower right each show a reading of your choice: heart rate, steps (with a progress bar toward your goal), battery (with a segmented gauge), sunrise or sunset (whichever comes next), temperature, Body Battery or altitude. Every reading has an icon, a large value and a small unit or gauge, so it reads at a glance. A PAGE FOR EVERY READING Press and hold a reading to open its page. The page shows that reading's icon and name, and the time at the top. - Heart rate: resting rate, the high and low of the last 12 hours, and a 12-hour graph - Steps: progress toward your goal, distance, floors climbed and calories - Battery: watch battery, Body Battery and the days of battery left - Sunrise and sunset: a sun arc, sunrise, sunset, nautical twilight (BMNT and EENT) and the daylight left - Temperature: feels like, high and low, wind and chance of rain - Body Battery: a 12-hour graph with the high and low - Altitude: a 12-hour altitude profile and your position NAVIGATION PAGE Press and hold the scene at the top to open Navigation: your military grid reference (MGRS), latitude and longitude, and altitude, from the last GPS fix. If the position is more than six hours old, the page shows -- rather than an out-of-date value. NIGHT MODE From sunset to sunrise the face turns into a red night instrument with a scope reticle: everything is a shade of red on black, nothing bright. It returns to the theme at sunrise. It uses your real sunrise and sunset, so it needs a location from the watch. PRESS AND HOLD - The clock: next theme - The scene at the top: Navigation - A reading: that reading's page - Any page: back to the face (pages also return by themselves after 30 seconds) SETTINGS (in Garmin Connect) Theme, units (follow the watch, metric or imperial), step goal, and the four readings. UNITS AND LANGUAGE By default the face follows your watch: Celsius, kilometers, km/h and meters on a metric watch; Fahrenheit, miles, mph and feet on an imperial one. You can also force metric or imperial. English, and French when the watch is set to French. COMPATIBILITY Garmin fenix 7 (47 mm) and fenix 8 Solar 47 mm. NOTES Heart rate is the latest reading the watch has. Weather comes from Garmin's weather feed. Sunrise, sunset, night mode and the Navigation page need a location from the watch; Body Battery needs a watch that supports it. A watch face receives press and hold only, not taps or swipes.
