Disclaimer: This is primarily a personal project for myself, not necessarily intended for others. BLACKSITE AMMO is a tactical digital watch face built for the 416 × 416 AMOLED display on Instinct 3 – 50 mm AMOLED. OPERATIONAL DISPLAY • Digital time with live seconds while awake, date, aircraft marker, solar rail, A22 identity, perimeter tick banks and structural linework. • Six-cell lower rack: heart rate, seven-day resting-heart-rate average, activity distance, Body Battery, next solar event and Days Since. • Recessed moon-phase portal, weather, high/low, wind direction, humidity, pressure trend, connection state, precipitation, UV, stress and respiration. • Unavailable data retains its position and displays -- instead of an invented reading. CUSTOMIZATION • 28 tactical AMOLED presets, including the original A22, DRKRM, CMND, Covert, Grayscale Recon and Nightshade designs. • 49 independent active color controls. Use the on-watch palette or hexadecimal entry, or enter AUTO / RRGGBB values in Connect IQ Mobile. • Separate backgrounds, LCD panels, moon, portal, text, icons, structural lines, tick colors, solar rail and A22 colors. • Nine texture regions with theme default, Off, Twill, Herringbone, Ripstop, Basket, Obsidian and Grid options. • Four named custom designs. Save before changing presets; selecting a preset restores its colors and textures while retaining brightness. • Independent active time, background, data and Moon brightness. Saved designs include their active brightness choices. ALWAYS-ON DISPLAY • Minute-based composition without seconds, with shifting placement. • Twelve curated colors: red, green, midnight blue, deep navy, steel blue, ice blue, dark gray, graphite, amber, olive, burgundy and khaki. • Independent AOD time, background/rails and data brightness. Active hex colors never carry into AOD. SETTINGS AND UPDATES • Watch choices survive unrelated phone Saves. If the phone still shows an earlier theme, leave that selection alone for unrelated changes. Toggle Reapply phone theme only when you want to apply that displayed selection again. • Four custom slots have separate Save/Load controls. Toggle Repeat custom theme action to repeat the same phone action. • The build label identifies the running version. Updates retain the same AMMO identity and settings; uninstalling is not an update step. BLACKSITE AMMO processes data on the watch and contains no advertising, purchases, analytics, external account or developer-operated data service. Data availability and cadence depend on Garmin firmware, sensors, permissions, modes and cached data. This independent face is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Garmin or any military or government organization.

R49 — Smaller installation payload • Reduces the watch-side program from 15,014,332 bytes to 1,744,748 bytes, an 88.4% reduction, by enabling Garmin's native lossless bitmap compression. • Preserves all 28 presets, 49 color controls, nine texture regions, four saved designs and 12 AOD colors. No artwork, font, color, transparency or customization was removed. • Retains the existing app identity, settings migration, brightness controls, provider cadence and display-transition handling. The on-watch build label now reads R49. • Adds a 2 MiB project release-size check to prevent another oversized installation payload. The final candidate passed all 24 native tests and the focused source/resource checks. Every changed compiled bitmap was verified against the exact original pixel, palette and transparency bytes under Garmin's lossless encoding. This release addresses avoidable transfer and installation overhead after reports that R48 failed to replace the previous build. The exact cause of the watch's silent rejection was not exposed by the phone, so successful physical installation still needs confirmation. The LIGHT/flashlight issue remains open.
