説明
A comic page on your wrist: one steep line cuts the dial into two panels, with day on one side and night on the other.
The hour stands in the day panel and the minute in the night panel, both in big hand-lettered comic numerals turned to stand parallel to the line, so the time reads across the cut as one number broken by it. Each digit is outlined in black ink and throws a hard drop shadow, like a cover title.
The line itself is the white gutter between the panels, inked on both edges, and the round edge of the dial is the outer panel border. Each cover is a full scene drawn in halftone dots, flat colour and heavy ink. Pop Sky has cartoon clouds by day and a crescent moon by night. Kapow sets the hour on a yellow sunburst and the minute on an explosion. Sunset has an inked sun over banded sky and a ringed planet in a teal night. Zap has speed lines by day and lightning in a storm night. Moons, planets and lightning keep clear of the time.
Along the line, the panels face each other. Sunrise sits on the day side and sunset on the night side, from the location of your last weather update or activity. Lower down, today's steps sit on the day side and the distance they covered on the night side. Between them the seconds count up the line: one small mark a second on the day side for the first half of the minute, then on the night side for the second.
The corners carry the rest, each reading with its own icon, lettered white with a black outline and shadow so it reads on any scene. On the night side, top right: heart rate, current temperature and battery. On the day side, lower left: elevation, calories burned and body battery. The weekday and date sit at the bottom.
Always-on is a separate frame on true black: the line as a dim stroke, the hour and minute as hollow outlines, and the date, so it stays lit instead of blanking after a few seconds.
SETTINGS for Comics Pulse
Cover: Pop Sky, Kapow, Sunset or Zap. Each is its own scene across both panels, with its own colours for the time.
Temperature units: Celsius, Fahrenheit, or follow the watch. Celsius by default.
Distance units: metric (kilometres and metres) or imperial (miles and feet). Metric by default. Covers distance and elevation.
Wrist: left or right. Left by default. The line leans so the time reads without turning your arm; on the right wrist the face is turned top to bottom so it leans the other way, with the hour still on the left and the minute on the right.
The hour is shown on a 12-hour clock.
