Help, settings and every Glean face: glean-watch.github.io New faces on Facebook: facebook.com/gleanwatchfaces and on Instagram: instagram.com/gleanwatchfaces Vila is the screen an e-ink reader shows while it rests: an engraving in one ink on paper, and the time in a book serif above it. The engraving is an hourglass, every part of it drawn in lines as an engraver would cut it: two plates outlined and shaded, turned posts hatched down one side, the glass in fine contours with its shading, and the sand in close hatching. The sand is the progress. In the morning it fills the top bulb; as your steps fill their goal it runs down into the bottom one, a thin stream falling between them, until the top is empty and a heap stands in the bottom bulb. It can follow floors, intensity minutes, Body Battery, battery or stress instead. The time is set large in EB Garamond, with the date under it in your watch's own language and battery and alerts above it. Two readings stand either side of the hourglass's waist, heart rate and the weather to start, or any of fifteen sources. Five papers: Paper, Warm light, Sepia, Night (white lines on black) and Indigo. A memory-in-pixel screen is already reflective, as e-ink is. The always-on mode keeps the time and the hourglass's outline.

Vila now speaks Polish, German, French and Spanish: its settings in Garmin Connect and this listing.
