Tired of glancing at your watch and instantly knowing what time it is? Binary Time fixes that. Your watch face is now a small geometry puzzle, and it checks your arithmetic every time you want to know if you're late. You will be late. It's worth it. Binary Time draws the time and date as three nested layers, with a seconds band around the outside. Each layer is split into six wedges. A lit wedge is a 1 and a dark wedge is a 0. Read each layer clockwise from the top wedge, which is worth 1. The wedges are worth 1, 2, 4, 8, 16 and 32. Add up the lit wedges to get the number. The shape fits your watch. On a round watch the wedges meet in a six-sided shape. On a square or rectangular watch they stretch to fill the screen. The big outer layer: time - Minutes are shown in green and hours in red. - A wedge that counts toward both minutes and hours is shown in blue. - In 12-hour mode, midnight shows as 12. The band around the edge: seconds - It reads the same way (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, clockwise from the top), counting seconds from 0 to 59. - Its wedges run off the edge of the screen. - It's shown only when the watch is awake, and you can change its colour in settings. The two inner layers: date - Middle layer: day of the week. One red wedge is lit, running clocday through Saturday. Sunday has no wedge lit. - Inner layer: day of the month in green and month in red, with blu Example, 3:25 - The top wedge is blue (1 minute and 1 hour). - The upper-right wedge is red (2 hours, so hours are 1 + 2 = 3). - The bottom wedge is green (8 minutes). - The lower-left wedge is green (16 minutes, so minutes are 1 + 8 + AM and PM: the outline lines change colour. By default they're blac in the afternoon and evening. Settings: you can change every colour (first, second and combined c) from Garmin Connect or the Connect IQ app.
