THE VIPER HAS A TARGET This is not a static picture of a gunsight. The Cylon Raider enters the display off-centre and turning, crosses the targeting reticle with five fading echoes trailing behind it, and then settles directly in the crosshairs. The trail collapses into the Raider one echo at a time, holds for a beat, and the targeting sequence starts again. From first sight to target lock takes less than three seconds. The result is an animated sci-fi targeting computer inspired by the Colonial Viper combat displays and military technology of Battlestar Galactica. COLONIAL VIPER. CYLON RAIDER. TARGET LOCK. At the center of the display, a Cylon Raider is held directly in the sights of your Colonial Viper. The surrounding graphics are inspired by spacecraft instrumentation, fighter controls, cockpit displays, targeting systems and tactical HUD interfaces associated with the Battlestar Galactica universe. The Viper fighter schematics stand on either side of the targeting display: a technical specification panel on the left and a front elevation on the right. A gunsight by itself is a graphic. A gunsight surrounded by fighter schematics, telemetry and targeting information becomes a cockpit instrument. THE COLONIAL HUD Three information panels run across the top of the digital watch face. • STEPS — today's step count, footprint indicator and progress toward your daily step goal • HEART RATE — live heart rate, with weekday and date • ENERGY — seven-bar battery gauge and battery percentage THE ENERGY GAUGE The battery is presented as a seven-bar fighter-style energy readout rather than a conventional smartwatch battery icon. All seven bars remain visible, including the unlit bars, so you can immediately see how much energy remains. • More than three bars: green • Three bars or fewer: red It is designed to look like a spacecraft energy gauge and tactical energy display rather than a standard smartwatch battery indicator. THE CLOCK Hours, minutes and seconds appear across the bottom of the display. HRS, MIN and SEC labels identify each section. The seconds are live and continuously update while the watch face is active.
