The data field is free but if you liked it consider buying me a coffee: paypal.me/ilGiobbe https://revolut.me/giacomuvle Swim Plan – Custom Swim Workout Data Field Swim plan is a customizable Garmin Connect IQ data field that brings your paper swim-workout set to your wrist. Follow your planned pool workout right on your watch. Set up to 20 phases, each with its own distance, repetitions, rest time, target heart rate range and a custom note. During your swim you'll see: • Current set, repetitions and distance progress • Heart rate against your target zone • Rest countdown with heart rate recovery • Vibration alerts in the final seconds of recovery and when rest ends A clear, adaptive display keeps the essentials easy to read mid-swim. SETUP 1. In the Garmin Connect IQ app, define up to 20 steps: name, distance, repetitions, rest (seconds), note and target heart rate (% of max HR). 2. In your Pool Swim activity, add the data field to a data screen (single-field layout works best). HOW IT WORKS (LAP button only) • Finish a set → press LAP: the set is counted and the rest countdown starts. • Press LAP again to return to the data field. • When the countdown ends, the watch vibrates and the next set begins. • After the last set, a DONE screen shows your total distance. SPECIAL CASES • Skip rest: press LAP during the countdown, then LAP again when you start swimming. • Early start: after about 10 m, rest ends automatically and your meters are kept. • Kick sets: LAP still counts the set; with no distance detected, set time is shown after 60 s. • Rest set to 0: the next set starts immediately. • Pause: the countdown and timer pause with the activity. ON SCREEN • Heart rate is blue below target, green in target, red above it. • Rest countdown turns orange at 10 s and red at 5 s, with vibration in the last 3 s and at the end. • During rest: heart rate and drop from peak. RECORDED DATA True swim and rest time are saved per lap, plus session totals, as Connect IQ fields in the activity file. Watch lap times still count rest as swimming.
