NightWink turns your watch into a strobe light. Start a walk or a run and the whole screen flashes in the colour and rhythm you choose - or, on watches with a built-in LED flashlight, the LED does. THE LIGHT - Full-screen flashes at maximum brightness, or the watch's LED on models that have one - Three rhythms - Blink, Beacon and Blitz - at a slow or fast pace - White, red, green, or cycling through them - A live preview of the rhythm and colours before you start TIME AND DISTANCE TOO - Elapsed time and distance from your watch's GPS, with the time of day, on screen between flashes - Units and the 12/24-hour clock follow your watch - Saving the walk or run as a Garmin activity needs the optional key (below) LOOKS AFTER ITSELF - The light only flashes while an activity is running, so it cannot be left on by mistake. - Flashing stops automatically below 15% battery. The activity keeps recording. - If your watch counts no steps for 30 minutes (for example, when you put it down), NightWink pauses the activity and stops flashing. You resume it yourself. - The time and figures move slightly every minute, and nothing is drawn during a flash, to spare the screen. FREE AND OPTIONAL PAID FEATURE Flashing and everything above is free, with no time limit and no restrictions. Saving your walk or run as a Garmin activity (a FIT file), so it appears in Garmin Connect with its map, is an optional paid feature. It is unlocked with a key tied to your watch. Tap Save (or "Save needs a key" on the start screen) and the watch offers a QR code: scan it with your phone and the purchase page already knows which watch the key is for. You never have to read an ID off the watch and type it in. You paste the key into NightWink's Settings in the Connect IQ app on your phone. One key unlocks one watch. It is a one-time purchase - no subscription, nothing to renew - and nothing is sent over the internet: the app checks the key offline. Refunds: the key is issued the moment you pay and cannot be revoked, so sales are final. If a key does not work, that is a fault and it will be fixed or refunded. Your purchase allows a few activations, so a mistake is recoverable; if you run out, write to [email protected] and it will be reset at no charge. Please try the free version first to make sure the app suits your watch. PLEASE NOTE WARNING: NightWink flashes the screen or LED brightly. If flashing light affects you (for example, photosensitive epilepsy), do not use this app. The faster patterns flash up to three times a second. On watches without an LED, flashing uses the screen at full brightness. It uses more battery than a normal activity and, like any bright use of an AMOLED screen, adds to its gradual wear.
