This is the companion watch app for the SWIMTAG platform. The app can be used standalone on your watch, but for the full experience - sync with your SWIMTAG account (www.swimtag.com) after each swim. Why use SWIMTAG vs. Garmin Pool Swim? ---------------------------------------------------- Do you often look at your pool swim stats and find lengths are miscounted, suspiciously fast or dissapointingly slow? Would you like a tool to quickly check each length to the nearest second? Maybe you want a place to keep track of your long term progress across each stroke type, automatically track personal bests and take part in virtual challenges and competitions with other swimmers? We have spent years developing our own wristband and machine learning software for swim detection that work for all types of swimmers. Now we have brought these across to Garmin watch users to use. In addition to improved results SWIMTAG offers a number of additional features for pool swimmers for tracking their progress over time and taking part in fun challenges and competitions via your SWIMTAG account. How Do I See My Swim? ---------------------------------------------------- With SWIMTAG you can easily make changes to your swims using our Swim Editor tool on our mobile app or website. The motion data from your watch is sent to us along with the swim laps so that you can really see your swim on a timeline and make adjustments to your results afterwards. No more wondering if that new 800m time was actually correct or asking your mate to time you with a stopwatch from the side. Check yourself and know that the times are 100% correct. On top of this we have also developed a configurable screen that lets you pick the layout and statistics that are important to you in the pool. You can do this on your watch or in the SWIMTAG App and SYNC your watch to update. Choose from the following live stats: -Swim Distance / Lengths/Lap Count / Interval Distance -Swim Ave Pace / Interval Pace -Rest Percentage -Swim Total Time / Interval Time -Stroke Rate / Distance Per Stroke / SWOLF -Calories Burnt -Ave Heartrate / Current Heartrate -Live Motion Data / Water Temperature During a swim you can add drills (hand paddles, pull buoy fins, kickboard) and you lengths will be automatically tagged in SWIMTAG and excluded from your regular swim stats. Will my results still appear in Garmin Connect? ---------------------------------------------------- Yes, under the hood SWIMTAG uses the same swim detection algorithm as the default Pool Swim app, it will still sync your results to Garmin Connect in the same way as before. So if you decide SWIMTAG is not for you, just switch back and you've still got all your swim results in Connect. Getting Started ---------------------------------------------------- Simply open the app on your watch, from the Home screen ensure the pool size is set correctly and update if necessary (select CHOOSE POOL from the main menu by pressing DOWN). Once your pool size is set choose START SWIM or press SELECT to start recording a swim, you will see a countdown before it starts recording. Once swimming you can press the BACK/LAP button on your watch to add a rest (or interval), this will pause the swim recording so that no new lengths can be accidentally recorded. When you are ready to start swimming again press BACK/LAP again and the recording will resume. When you have finished your swim simply hold down the SELECT button for 2 seconds and the swim will be saved, alternativly press SELECT once to open the swim menu and choose SAVE / DISCARD. How do I sync my SWIMTAG Account? ---------------------------------------------------- Record your first swim using the watch app, create your SWIMTAG account using the New User - Garmin Connect option, then in the Watch App choose 'Sync Swimtag' from the main menu.
