A sporty digital face built like a piece of industrial hardware: stacked metal slabs, deep cuts and turned rims, with a big seven-segment clock across the middle. The time runs across a recessed band in the centre, white segments lit over the faint ghost of every unlit one, with the seconds beside it in smaller digits and AM/PM below them. Above the band, the month and the day number sit in two raised boxes, and the weekday runs across a long bar under them, next to the battery level. Around the clock, the readings sit on their own plates, each with a small realistic icon. Lower left, a heart-rate dial in a metal collar shows your pulse in the middle and lights a ring of segments as it rises; its small heart blinks red every other second. Lower right, two data fields - barometric pressure and elevation to start with - sit above the steps bar, with calories beneath. A round button upper right carries the temperature, and a smaller one at the bottom shows a dot when notifications are waiting. Two segmented gauges ride the edges: an arc in the upper left that fills with the watch battery, and five level bars down the left side that fill as you approach your step goal. Both can be pointed at other readings in the settings. The dial comes in four colour themes, each rendered with its own textures, lighting and shadows: Navy & Copper, a copper bezel round hammered navy; Teal & Graphite, anodised teal over grained graphite; Olive & Sand, brass and sand round olive drab; and Crimson & Gunmetal, red anodised metal over polished gunmetal. Each theme puts its strongest colour on the bezel, the heart-rate collar and the buttons, a second on the ring around the centre, and a dark third under the readings, so they stay easy to read. The text follows the dial: the date in a highlight of the theme, the readings in near-white, the units in the theme's colour. Six accent colours set the gauges, and any accent works on any dial. Always-on is a separate black frame that keeps the readings: the time as fine segment outlines, the date, battery, temperature, both data fields, steps, calories and heart rate, all dimmed in place and shifted slightly each minute, so it stays lit without marking the screen. SETTINGS Colour theme (the gauges' accent): Monochrome Green, Orange Navy, Indiglo Teal, Sunburst Yellow, Tactical Red or Military Olive. Dial colours: Navy & Copper, Teal & Graphite, Olive & Sand or Crimson & Gunmetal. Show seconds: on or off. Off also stops the heart blinking. Time format: follow the watch, 12-hour or 24-hour. Small circle: temperature, notifications, day of the year or floors. Top-left arc: steps against your goal, floors against your goal, weekly active minutes against your goal, battery or body battery. Level bars: steps against your goal, body battery, stress or battery. Data field left and data field right: barometric pressure, elevation, distance today, floors, weekly active minutes, stress, body battery or temperature. Temperature units: follow the watch, Celsius or Fahrenheit. Altitude units: follow the watch, metres or feet.
