Track your sport climbing sessions directly from your wrist. SportClimb Tracker automatically detects when you start climbing and measures route height using your watch's barometric altimeter — no GPS required. Please note: automatic height measurement relies on your watch's built-in barometric altimeter. On devices without a barometric altimeter, automatic route detection and height tracking are not available — you can still log routes manually and enter the height yourself. A note from the developer: this app is still in active development, and I'd love your input. The first few sessions can take some getting used to, so if you run into anything confusing or have ideas for improvement, please reach out to me directly at [email protected], your feedback is exactly what helps me turn this into a truly great climbing app. And of course, if you enjoy using it, a review would mean a lot! Before use, read the manual at: https://sportclimbanalytics.com/app After your session, sync your watch with the Garmin Connect app, then visit https://sportclimbanalytics.com/ to explore your climbing data, progress charts, success rates, and wall style breakdowns. Goal: get the climbing grade shown as a column in Garmin Connect. Garmin has acknowledged the bug preventing this, but it needs more support to get prioritized. You can help: open the link below, sign in with your free Garmin account, and click the "+1" button on the report. The more votes it gets, the more likely Garmin is to fix it. https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/i/bug-reports/string-type-fitcontributor-lap-fields-data_type_string-not-displaying-in-garmin-connect-activity-laps-charts-view FEATURES Auto-detect route start based on altitude change Manual route start/stop via the lap button Log per route: – Grade (French, UIAA, USA or SA system) – Result (On Sight, Flash, Redpoint, Hang Dog, Repeat, DNF) - On Sight – 1st try, blind - Flash – 1st try, with info - Redpoint – clean, after practice - Hang Dog – working the route - Repeat – done before - DNF – did not finish – Type (Lead, Toprope, Warmup) – Style (Slab, Vertical, Overhang, Roof) – Height (auto-measured, manually adjustable) Location types: Gym, Climbing Board, Outdoor Crag, Outdoor Boulder, and Multi-Pitch — indoor, outdoor and multi-pitch climbing all in one app Multi-pitch mode: automatic pitch splitting as you climb, with the lap button as manual override, an optional pre-climb route plan (pitch count, grade, height), and a choice between rating each pitch right away or all at once at the end Session summary with total height gained and heart rate stats Altitude and heart rate graphs during your session Saves to Garmin Connect as a Rock Climbing activity with custom fields per lap A dedicated analysis website to track your progress over time, visualize your climbing history and spot trends in grade, style and success rate: https://sportclimbanalytics.com/

Version 4.15 Improved logging of new routes: with a newer build date, the name and grade of the previous route on that set no longer show. Version 4.15 Improved location detection: the watch now waits for a real GPS fix instead of using the last position from somewhere else. Version 4.14 Improved Hang Dog: with extended logging you now record how often you rested or fell, so you can see your progress on a project. Version 4.13 Improved route list: after correcting a route you are back in the list, which now also shows the result and wall style. Version 4.12 New Mode Boulder for logging a route, and Mode now comes right under Location. Version 4.11 New: correct the routes of your session on the watch, from the new Routes page. LAP now starts a route from every page, and repeats are recognized more reliably. Supports Decent watches (except G1). Version 4.10 Improved recovery gauge and height: the gauge now always closes with a single press, and the route height now includes the first meter. Version 4.9 Improved location detection: your own choice of location now always comes first. Version 4.8 A location you delete on the watch now stays deleted, even if it is still saved in the analytics app. Version 4.7 Improved location detection: indoors the watch now also recognizes your location from a GPS position of the last 20 minutes. Version 4.6 The results are now listed from best to worst: On Sight, Flash, Repeat, Redpoint, Hang Dog, Did Not Finish. Version 4.5 Improved suggestions from other climbers: they now also work with your phone out of reach, and the build date of the route is filled in more reliably. Version 4.4 Suggestions from other climbers now also work with your phone in a locker, because your gym's routes are loaded when you start. Also fixes the route screen jumping back to Location after entering Set/Sub. Version 4.3 Smarter suggestions for grade, build date, and wall style based on your own and other climbers' previous logs, and your own locations from the analytics app are now recognized on the watch. Version 4.2 Now also supports the Fenix 9 series: Fenix 9 43mm/47mm, Fenix 9 Pro 43mm/47mm/51mm, and Fenix 9 Pro Solar 47mm/51mm. Version 4.1 Smarter suggestions based on what other climbers (and you) already logged for the same route or location, plus a small tweak: an overhanging (Roof) style now suggests Lead. Version 4.0 Multi-pitch climbing has been added as its own category, with automatic pitch splitting and optional route planning. Version 3.14 Text entry (sector, location, suffix names) now briefly turns the touchscreen on for easier typing, then switches it back off automatically once you're done. Version 3.13 Outdoor routes can now carry a number suffix (like "12a") and a per-location topo version, and a brand new route now suggests On Sight instead of Redpoint. Version 3.12 Sector entry now offers ones you've used before instead of retyping, and angle, route, set and sub numbers use a tap keypad instead of scrolling, with higher route numbers now possible. Also fixes a rare crash right after a GPS-enabled session, and warns if unsent sessions are piling up on an unpaired watch. Version 3.11 Location confirmation now also appears when pressing START with no GPS fix yet, not only once a GPS fix arrives. Version 3.10 When a GPS fix arrives on the start screen, the watch now asks to confirm the location before you begin, so it's already right for the whole session instead of only from the first logged route. Version 3.9 Sector, route number, set/sub and build date now travel along to sportclimbanalytics.com with each route, so an area's sectors show up separately there too.
