Neon draws the time as an outline with a glow around it, like a neon sign, inside a luminous open ring. Pure black background, nine electric colors, and only what you need: battery, date, heart rate and steps. AT A GLANCE • Time in outlined digits with a layered neon glow • Open ring (or full, or none) that glows with the same color • Battery: estimated days left (or % when the watch doesn't estimate days), with a level icon • Full day name and date • Footer with two configurable slots: heart rate, steps, Body Battery, calories, distance or floors climbed — or just one, or none HOW THE GLOW WORKS Watches can't blur or blend colors, so the glow is built the way a real sign is: three layers drawn from the outside in — an outer halo, an inner halo and a sharp stroke — each one brighter than the last. Change the color and every layer is recalculated instantly. SETTINGS (from Garmin Connect) • Neon color: Electric fuchsia, Electric cyan, Lime green, Neon yellow, Neon orange, Electric violet, Electric blue, Neon red, Cool white • Glow intensity: Off, Soft, Normal, Intense • Ring: Open, Full, No ring • Digit fill: Hollow, Dim fill • Text size: Normal, Large (battery, date and footer; a row that doesn't fit in the ring stays at normal size) • Time format: System, 24 h, 12 h • Left data: None, Heart rate, Steps, Body Battery, Calories, Distance, Floors climbed • Right data: None, Heart rate, Steps, Body Battery, Calories, Distance, Floors climbed NOTES • AMOLED watches: in always-on mode only the outline of the time stays lit (no glow, ring or data), to save battery and protect the screen. • MIP (memory-in-pixel) watches: the screen shows 64 colors, so the glow can't be reproduced; the time is drawn as a clean outline in your chosen color. There is no always-on mode on these screens because they are always visible. • When a value isn't available yet (for example, heart rate right after putting the watch on), "--" is shown. • Distance follows the units set on the watch (km or miles), with one decimal. • Floors climbed need a barometric altimeter; on watches without one, "--" is shown. • Body Battery is read through the watch's complications; that is the only permission the face asks for. • No internet connection, no data collected.
