MERCURY is a weather-first pixel watch face built for the Instinct's memory-in-pixel screen. Every icon and character is hand-placed on the pixel grid, so it stays sharp in full sun with no blurry scaled fonts. THE THERMOMETER A sideways thermometer runs across the top. The tube spans today's low to today's high, and the mercury rises to the current temperature, just like the real thing. The bulb shows current conditions: sun, moon, clouds, rain, snow, storms, fog or wind. WEATHER AT A GLANCE - Current temperature in the round window, in big type - Chance of rain - Dew point (or Feels like, see Settings) - Wind direction and speed on the same line, or CALM when it's still - Sunrise and sunset times AUTOMATIC DAY AND NIGHT After sunset the whole face inverts to light-on-dark, and it switches back at sunrise. Sunrise and sunset are worked out from your location, so the change happens at the right time wherever you are. DETAILS - Big clock with the weekday and date on one line, plus your battery level - Follows your watch’s 12/24-hour setting; in 24-hour mode the weekday moves above the date - Follows your watch’s units (°F/°C, mph/km/h) - Location is used only to calculate sunrise and sunset SETTINGS (in the Connect IQ app) - Day / night mode: Auto (sunset to sunrise), Always light, or Always dark - Second weather row: Dew point or Feels like - Wind speed units: Same as watch, mph, km/h, or knots Weather comes from your watch's weather data, which syncs from your phone through Garmin Connect.
