Nap for exactly as long as you want. Most nap alarms count from the moment you set them. Power Nap Auto-Wake counts from the moment you fall asleep. Choose how many minutes of sleep you want, lie down, and the watch takes it from there: it notices when you drift off, starts the countdown only then, and wakes you with a slow, gentle crescendo. Before you close your eyes, it shows the latest time the alarm will ring, so you always know you will be up in time. HOW IT WORKS - Choose 5 to 120 minutes of sleep with UP and DOWN, or with the arrows on a touchscreen. Press START, or tap "TAP to start". - For the first two minutes the watch learns your resting heart rate. Then it watches for the two signs of sleep: your wrist goes still and your heart rate settles. - The countdown starts when you fall asleep, not when you lie down. Woke up early? Stay still and the nap carries on, with the same alarm time. - "Alarm by HH:MM" is a promise. The alarm never rings later than that, even if sleep is never detected. Take longer to fall asleep than "Max time to fall asleep" (15 minutes by default, adjustable in the settings) and the nap gets shorter instead of the alarm getting later. - Once you are asleep, the screen shows "Wake at HH:MM", the actual end of your nap. - Nothing buzzes until the alarm. Falling asleep, a brief wake, a sensor hiccup: all silent. - Smart wake: on naps of 15 minutes or more, if you stir in the last part of the nap, the watch wakes you a little early, at a natural moment. A GENTLER WAKE-UP - The alarm starts quietly and builds to full strength over about two minutes, then keeps going until you stop it. - The screen stays dark and calm until full strength, so an early wake is a quiet one. - Works with Do Not Disturb on. - Test alarm: hold UP, or long press the number on a touchscreen, and feel the whole wake-up without napping. STAY AWAKE - Set the time below 5 minutes and the watch does the opposite: a light nudge when you start to drift off, a proper alarm if you doze off anyway, then back on guard. The summary tells you how many times it caught you. AFTER THE NAP - The summary shows how long you slept, how long it took you to fall asleep, how many times you woke, and how much of the planned nap you got. BUTTONS AND TOUCH - BACK works like everywhere else on your watch: one screen back at a time. While a nap, Stay Awake or the alarm is running, it asks first. Press it again to confirm. On the start screen, press it twice to exit. - One press of START, UP or DOWN shows how your nap is going, without stopping anything. START twice stops a nap or the alarm and shows your summary. The screen always tells you what the second press does. - While you sleep, taps and swipes do nothing. A sleeve cannot end your nap. GOOD TO KNOW - Keep the app open during the nap: the alarm needs it. If you leave, the watch reminds you, and rings the moment you come back if the alarm time has passed. - The watch remembers your last nap length. The phone settings hold the default length, the alarm type and three sensitivity levels, for restless or very still sleepers. - Time of day on every screen, in your 12 or 24-hour format, and a warning when the battery is low.

The alarm only vibrates. The nature melody and the Alarm Type setting are gone: the sound did not play the same on every watch, and a wrong sound is worse than none. A gentler start. The alarm opens with two faint pulses and climbs step by step, each a little stronger than the last, to full strength in just under three minutes. Test alarm plays every step and shows when it comes in the real alarm. "Vibration off" on the start screen when vibration is switched off in the watch settings, and START asks once more before the nap begins. Fixes: the time at the top of the start screen no longer runs into the title, and the "Press BACK again" popup no longer cuts a line in half. The Test alarm menu is titled POWER NAP and its item is no longer cut short.
