รายละเอียด

Coldhang follows each piece of game from the shot to the butcher's block. Enter species, dressed weight, how long ago it was shot and whether it is gutted, and the watch estimates the core temperature of the carcass from a cooling model, using the weather forecast or your cooler temperature, and tells you when it will be below 7 °C (4 °C for small game). For ageing it counts degree-days: every hour at a given meat temperature adds up, so the watch can tell you when your ageing target is reached at the temperatures that are coming. The 12-hour forecast tells you whether hanging outside is fine or whether the meat belongs in the cooler. Coldhang is a planning aid, not a food safety guarantee: always check the meat yourself. WHAT IT DOES - Cooling model per piece from dressed weight, hanging place and outside or cooler temperature, with time until the core is below 7 °C (large game) or 4 °C (small game) - Probe reading: enter a measured core temperature and the model corrects itself for that piece - Hang spot advice from the 12-hour forecast: hang outside, move to the cooler, or protect against frost, with hourly bars - Ageing in degree-days with an adjustable target and the expected ready time - Warnings when a piece is not gutted yet, will not cool below the limit, or has been above 10 °C for more than 24 hours - Up to 12 pieces at once, 18 species, move between outside and cooler at any time - 24-hour cooling curve per piece against the outside temperature - Glance with the piece that needs attention or is ready first, °C/°F and kg/lb WHAT IT NEEDS A Garmin watch with Connect IQ 3.2 or newer and weather data from the phone (Garmin Connect app); without weather you can use the watch temperature sensor or enter the outside temperature by hand. The 7 °C and 4 °C limits come from EU Regulation 853/2004. The cooling model is an estimate; Coldhang suggests, it does not replace your own inspection of the meat.
