Endure HUD is the data field that feeds the Endure HUD phone app: it sends what your watch is already measuring to your phone, which shows it large on the handlebar. No account, no sign-up, no purchase inside the app. WHAT THE PHONE SHOWS - Power, heart rate, cadence, speed, time and distance, in big numbers you can read at a glance. - The target of your structured workout, straight from the watch: the range the plan asks for and whether you are below, inside or above it. - How much is left of the current step, and the average of the step you just completed. HOW IT WORKS Add the Endure HUD field to a screen of your activity. During the activity it sends data once per second to the phone over the Garmin Connect bridge you already use. The Endure HUD Android app reads it and draws it large. Nothing is sent to the internet by the field. You need: - A compatible Garmin watch or Edge, paired in Garmin Connect. - The Endure HUD app installed on your Android phone. ANT+ SENSORS (optional) With a Running Dynamics sensor paired to the watch (HRM-Pro, RD Pod), the field also sends stride length, ground contact time, vertical oscillation and vertical ratio to the phone. With a bike radar paired, it sends the vehicles approaching from behind. Without the sensors none of this appears: what is not measured is not shown. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It does not record your activity (the watch does) and does not replace Garmin Connect. When a sensor is not sending data, the phone shows a dash, never a zero. WHY EACH PERMISSION IS REQUESTED - Communications: to send the data to the Endure HUD phone app. Without it the field has no function. - User Profile: to read your heart rate zones from the watch profile. Read only. - ANT: to read the ANT+ sensors listed above. With no sensor paired it has no effect. - Positioning: OFF by default; only used if you turn on "Share location" in the field settings.
