Turn Every Rowing Stroke Into Pure Arcade Action! ArkaRower merges the thrill of retro brick-breakers (Arkanoid / Breakout) with real-time indoor rowing telemetry. Connect your Garmin watch via Bluetooth to your rowing machine (FTMS or SmartRow) and let your physical effort control the game: charge energy, aim the catapult, volley the ball with your racket, unleash piercing balls, and blast through walls with mobile rocket launchers! ArkaRower records an official Indoor Rowing activity in Garmin Connect, with custom charts for Watts, Joules, Force, Cadence, Speed, and distance from your rower. --- ROWING GAMEPLAY MECHANICS 1. Catapult Charging (15s Timer & +5s Bonus) Row to generate Joules! Every pull charges the catapult battery. A 15s timer challenges you on every level. Pull harder than the stage's Target Watts to earn a "+5 s" charge bonus (once per level). Logarithmic scaling ensures smooth, progressive difficulty. 2. Aiming Window (5s Window, Vibration Alert & Step Aim) Once charged, enter a 5-second aiming window (-45° to +45°). Row above Target Watts to sweep your angle dynamically, or press the DOWN button to step by +9°. The watch vibrates when 3 seconds remain. Press LAP to launch instantly! 3. Piercing Ball & Power Racket Volley - Piercing Ball: In flight, pulling harder than Target Watts activates PIERCING BALL mode! The ball slices through all bricks without bouncing until level end or lost ball. - Power Racket: When the ball drops, row exceeding Target Watts to deploy the energy racket. Each stroke shows instant Watts for 1s, followed by a (+/-) delta showing Watts above/below threshold. 4. Target Watts Intro & High Score Alert - Level Intro: Each stage begins with a green card showing "Niv X" and "Cible Y W". - High Score: Beat your previous high score in-game to trigger a blue "Hi Score" banner and earn +1 extra ball! - Smart Alerts: "Ramez plus fort" alerts guide your effort when pulling below target. 5. Visual Feedback & Special Bricks - Visual Alerts: Red flash on lost ball, green flash on won ball, orange background on your last ball with black brick outlines. - Blue Brick: Scores the exact Watts of your latest stroke! - Red Brick (2 hits): +1 Reserve Ball. - Green Brick (2 hits): 5-second safety shield. - Pink Brick (2 hits): Machine Gun Mode (3 rockets per stroke for 10s). - Explosive Brick (2 hits): Destroys adjacent bricks in a blast. - Neutral, Grey & Orange Bricks: Neutral score, heavier or lighter ball. 6. Level Summary Grid, Pause Menu & Stats - Level Grid: Displays stage stats (Duration, Avg Watts, Joules, Strokes, Speed) for a configurable duration (default 5s). - Pause Menu: Press START anytime to pause, resume, or finish. - Activity Summary: 4 uncluttered pages (Summary, Performance & HR, Complete Rowing Metrics, and Save/Discard with exact rower distance). - 5-Page Demo: Bilingual (FR/EN) tutorial with miniature visual diagrams. OFFICIAL GARMIN FIT METRICS - Recorded as an official Indoor Rowing activity. - Custom Garmin Connect charts: Watts, Work (Joules), Force (Newtons), Cadence (SPM), and Speed. - Rower distance tracked directly from the machine. - High score saved persistently on your watch. COMPATIBLE ROWING MACHINES Works with standard Bluetooth FTMS and SmartRow machines: - Concept2 (PM5 monitor via Bluetooth) - WaterRower (with S4 ComModule or SmartRow BLE pulley) - Matrix, Technogym, Horizon, Life Fitness, Domyos / Decathlon - Any machine broadcasting Bluetooth FTMS (0x1826 / 0x2AD1). - Built-in Simulation Mode to play anytime without a machine! Version 1.0.0 - Gameplay Telemetry & UI Polish - Real-Time Stroke Power Delta: After each rowing stroke during flight, instant Watts are displayed for 1 second, immediately followed for 0.8s by a light grey (+/-) delta number indicating your exact difference above or below the racket activation target. - Dynamic Blue Brick Scoring: Smashing a Blue Brick now awards the exact Watts produced during your latest rowing stroke! A large, vibrant blue popup (+Watts) appears on screen to celebrate your effort. - Minimalist Game Over Screen: Redesigned the "PARTIE TERMINEE" / "GAME OVER" screen into an ultra-clean, decluttered layout. Removed all thick divider lines and banners; title is centered in bold font, with final score and level reached positioned neatly underneath. - Summary Readability Improvement: Removed the top horizontal divider line across all activity summary pages (Pages 2, 3, and 4) to eliminate text collisions and provide a clean header. - Interactive Demo Updates: - Page 2: Added 9-degree step aiming via the START key. - Page 3: Added stroke Watts and (+/-) delta indicator explanation. - Page 4: Updated Blue Brick description to reflect stroke Watts bonus.
