Tracks wingfoil, kitefoil, kitesurf and windsurf, each with its own numbers. Pick your sport, press START, ride. I'm Philipp, a Baltic surfer and the dev behind BreakFinder. Get started in 4 steps 1. Install the app. 2. Sync your watch in Garmin Connect until the app is on it. Stuck at "Queued"? Sync again. 3. Create a free account at breakfinder.surf/pair. It shows your 6-digit code. 4. Open the app on your watch, press START and enter the code. Ending a session Press START, then press START again within 3 seconds and pick Save. What each sport shows - Wingfoil: time on foil, transitions and your longest flight - Kitefoil: best 10 seconds, max 2 seconds and foil time - Kitesurf and kiteboarding: jumps with count, best height and best airtime - Windsurf: best 10 seconds, max 2 seconds and 5x10 On the water Runs, tacks and jibes are counted for you, crashed transitions too. Jump height comes from the barometer. Speed is shown as the best 10-second average and the best 2-second window, the numbers riders compare. - Each sport's live screen leads with its own number over the water, with the state above it and two gauges on the bezel. - PAUSED, GPS LOST and LOW BATTERY are spelled out. GPS LOST shows within seconds when the signal drops. - Speed and runs ignore stale GPS fixes, and each sport has its own speed ceiling, so a GPS spike can't become a record. - The summary has three pages per sport. - AMOLED rounds, fenix and Forerunner screens and the square Venu Sq each get their own layout. Your data Everything is also written into the activity's FIT file as extra fields, so the session opens in any FIT tool. After the next sync it shows up in the BreakFinder app and on breakfinder.surf with the GPS track. Good to know The free account is what moves your sessions from the watch into your log. Until you pair, the watch records anyway and keeps the sessions on the watch. Free to start, optional premium.
