A faithful replica of the astronomical dial of the Prague Astronomical Clock (Orloj, 1410). Everything is computed on the watch and drawn from the measured geometry of the real dial: • Astrolabe plate: day, dawn and dusk (AVRORA, CREPVSCVLVM), horizon (ORTVS, OCCASVS), the black circle of astronomical night and the Earth with a gilded grid in the centre. • Planetary (unequal) hours 1–12. • Eccentric zodiac ring with signs, 72-step ladder and the sidereal-time star, rotating with sidereal time. • Sun hand with the golden pointing hand: time on the Roman numerals, Old Czech time on the outer ring; the Sun shows the zodiac sign, planetary hour and day/night. • Moon with phase on its own hand. • Old Czech (Italian) hour ring 1–24 set to the real sunset in Prague. • Optional digital time and date (can be switched off in settings). Like the real clock, the plate is made for the latitude of Prague.
